Oh, boy, if mama thinks she is going to appease me with some silly kitty stickers, she has another think coming. Give ’em to the little grand anthro who collects them; she already has a gazillion you’ve given her already, and I don’t happen to have a sticker book. Plus you will NOT win me over with these.
Other kitties get SWAG–I’ve seen the stuff they get, nip ‘nanas, new beds, climbing jungle gyms or whatever they are, and a couple of kitty stickers to get caught in my fur just is NOT going to do the trick.
But on to other things. Our little grandanthro (see below), a goalie for his calcetto team, is pretty durn good, calcetto being soccer played with only 5 on a team on a tennis court or something similar in size. It’s a fast game and great fun for young kids learning teamwork and skills, but unfortunately, yesterday started aggressively and well and then went all to pieces as the stronger team (also taller!) shot goal after goal and won by 7 – 2. BUT, Pietro, our family goalie, is not tall but incredibly accurate and good. Next year he will play with the real team of 11 and we shall see.
As they say, It’s not if you win or lose but how you play the game. Mama says, Okay, okay, parents say that but when you lose, you feel awful for awhile. I have to say, though, that sports are a great practice field for handling many situations to come…

Stopping at least a few in the first half.
Well, hey, what are grandanthros for other than to root at ball games and give pats on heads with a “well done” attached. They do that to me when I manage to help mama dig in the garden. “Good kitty” they say but if they say it too often, along with “Kitty, kitty, kitty,” I run like hell. You never know when that particular phrase might mean, Let’s get in the carrier for your shot, or Time to travel 2 hours in the car to the ship, or possibly unknown things that are unimaginable.
I will say that my kitty sitter is trying to calm me after a HUMONGOUS storm in our little town that sent me right under the bed!!! BIG sounds, lightning and thunder and all those things that come with WET pouring down outside.
I hear it’s good for gardens. Oh, great, but what about kitties who, frankly, do not have particularly nice relationships with storms, vacuum cleaners, travel cages, etc. Why can’t they get it straight? Can’t THEY fix the weather to suit us?
They try to fix everything else. Er…fix is not a word we use around here, sorry.
Just checking out that I can dash under the bed quickly if that THANG comes back banging out of the sky. Mama’s mama always told her that all that noise was the mama turtle beating on a washing pan to call her little ones home out of the storm. I hope Bolt knows that, but I’m not sure he has a mama nearby. I’ll get the info from him next visit to Roma…plus he always has somewhere to hide, right?
Loulou, Pietro is adorable!!! And I’ll bet he sneaks you goodies when you’re in Roma – especially since he collects kittie stickers! Well, I don’t like thunder, vacuum cleaners – but I LOVE digging in gardens!! I can help you. We will change the landscaping a bit – and who knows what we’ll dig up – food? Well, stay dry and play your distress for all its worth – our anthros – mamas, papas, kitty-sitters – they give us extra treats when they think we’re upset. haha – works every time!
Hey, maybe our mamas need extra treats when they “play” upset, haha.
I am sorry but you made me LOL with the “grandanthro” !!! Love the stickers too! And…that Grandanthro looks like he is awfully talented!
He really is a charmer and so kind and so sweet. But he’s still 11…..we’ll see, haha.
We hate those loud storms! Micah hides, but he says hes just napping in an unusual (and safe) spot.
Oh, Micah, I know your ploy, but it’s best to hide, believe you me.
LouLou, in the first picture it’s apparent you are quite miffed, but by the last picture you appear to be lost in thought.
Pietro appears to be quite an able soccer player, but it is only rarely you can “win ’em all!”
Hope the storms are over for awhile. You are right about Bolt in his water-proof house ! Hope he is doing better.
Thank you, Mary. He is in a turtle reserve, safe for the summer until the family can get a little cage built. Actually, quite a big cage, but safe.
How will they know which one is him in the reserve ? I mean, if you board your dog for awhile, you can easily pick him out of the play yard when you come to get him, but a turtle ? Does he wear an ID tag ?
A good question. Maybe Bolt has a little ID bracelet that he wears on one f his good legs…Or maybe a little mark on his shell with safe marking pen. I’ll ask.
