Re-viewing my prejudices…
Well, I have to think twice about my donkey friends. I used to think they were just cute. NOW….WOW!
If only we could help one another like this…
(Hey, maybe another kitty would come over here and open the front door so I could go look for some nip in a garden somewhere. They don’t seem to have the real stuff her in this burg. Ech. Mamma (mama is mamma here, haha) did give me a cigar to chew on, filled with the stuff, but frankly, just as in cooking, the fresh stuff is much, much better. NO dried herbs for me, haha. Plus that nip cigar is HARD and I don’t have many teeth right now.
Mamma and papa and I love donks, but back in France, we haven’t seen them around lately. I think they are aging, along with the rest of us, haha, and spend a lot of time out in the pastures, eating wildflowers.
Hey, there are worse things!

A lovely sign on a telephone pole in Sonoma: Thank you, Helicopters, for (dropping?) water on the fire! Mamma couldn’t read the word before ‘water’.
Little anthros are great, no? Well, some are…
Hi Loulou! I haven’t seen a live “donk,” but Mom took a photo of one at a local farm for me. I think my Basset Hound minion looks like one! She has a big nose, short legs, long ears & tail just like one. The Basset doesn’t snip out nip for me in the garden, but she knows it’s there. Tee hee hee!
We like donkeys…Joe and Smoke over at Marg’s Animals are our favorites.
Here I go to see Smoke and Joe!
Lovely video, what a smart guy ! Purrs
Yes, and I wonder where they were going, too.
oooooh – donks are ADORABLE – well, my mama thinks so, so now that you do too, guess I’d better get with the program! We saw dread-lock donks on Ile de Ré last month and they were really something. And they say face cream from donkey-milk is the BEST. Sounds weird to me – but I’ll stick to my beautification ritual at Scooby Doux – anti-flea bath and pedicure. Mama made an appointment for Saturday. Oh the things we girls have to deal with!!!! And what a nice Thank You sign for the firemen who risked their lives to save so many. Bravo, Firemen – and women!!!!!
Oh, Mya, maybe maman would get you some rooster feather for your pelt!!! Mama has some she could lend you…I think one down the tail would look nice.
Do you read the blog Marg’s Animals? You should if you don’t, she has two donkeys!!!!!
Well, we will be visiting Marg’s Animals, that’s for sure. That’s all I need, more donkeys for mama to give her attention to instead of ME!

I think there may be a duplicate comment here. Thank you for Marg’s Animals.
Donkeys are fun, I like Smoke and Joe on Marg’s Animals blog. XO
WOW, Marg is famous. We’re off to see that blog for SURE!
We watched that video yesterday and were impressed with the donkey’s method of fixing the problem. Would love to know where it was they wanted to go when they got loose.
I think they were headed for a hay bale or for some of mama’s articoke leaves…they LOVE artichoke leaves.
Wow – that is certainly NOT a dumb – er-donkey !
Those guys really are smart…mama’s friends are also so very sweet and never nibble your fingers when you feed them.
I’ve never seen the donkey video! It’s really amazing 😀
A friend sent that to mama and then she found more on youtube.
