Do you think I could walk and swim like a penguin?
Well, mama has been looking for this video for some time because the story was so charming and the little penguin, so cute.
I think maybe I’m leaning toward these sweet videos because with all of the not so pretty happenings in the world, these kind and gentle stories lift our spirits. To think that this little creature, every year, visits the man who saved him. I find that extraordinary.
I think often kitties are the same–they go back to places where they were loved and fed and say hello when they can. And many animals travel for miles and miles to get to a place they knew in which they lived happily. Really amazing. A sort of sixth sense that tells you where you will be safe and cared for.
I think papa’s jeans would help me find my way home!
I think I could find my way back to mama and papa if I got lost, but there’s not such a big chance for that, thank cod! Every time I say “thank cod” I think of Wally and Ernie, so thank you again, Island Cats, for that wonderful expression. Mama even says it to other anthros at the fish store!🐠
Mama’s a card, haha, whatever that is.
And “thank cod” that you and I have such wonderful forever homes. I never want to find myself shuffled between households and shelters ever again. That was far too stressful. Purr purr purr.
Oh, you had that awful experience? I am so glad you have your mommy who adores you as do we!!!
smooches loulou, you are just too wise and precious!
OH what a wonderful story!!! Mama is saying if only people could be as kind and simple and generous (not to mention honest) in their dealings with others as WE of the animal kingdom are (well, most of us, anyway- not talking about that mean yorkie in the apartment down the street) the world would be a better place. And we could indeed Thank Cod. Probably a very nice fish. Oops. Are you licking your lips, Loulou?
Yes, why don’t they LEARN from us. Who is the yokel??? Is he mean to you? I’ll bite his ankles.
LOL – it’s a HER. And I try and bite her ankles but mama and papa hold me back. She’s little but ferocious!!! I personally think she’s jealous because I’m such a hot babe and she wants to be numero uno!!
Oh, the competition on your block!!! She will NEVER come up to your charming personality and cute back end….
I love stories like that.
Me, too.
MOL! Thank cod for your papa’s jeans, Loulou. 🙂
Yes, they always lead me back on that long, winding road…
Gosh, you look quite penguin-ish in that first photo !
That is a lovely story. Years ago, when I was in high school, I went to the zoo – this was back when zoos were animals-in-cages, not the environments they are in now. There was a little penguin like this one inside a low fence. He started walking along with me. It was a sweet experience.
Oh, I’ll bet he was lonely! How sweet to have had that little friendship.
