Well, here I am doing my airplane impersonation. Haha, just kidding. I’m actually listening for sleigh bells (whatever they are), which, I am told, should be arriving in the not too distant future. It seems there could be strange creatures attached also with very funny names, Donner, Blitzen, things like that, but frankly, I am just not in the holiday mood yet. Mama went out to buy envelopes today, which appear to be what all the kids and grandkids REALLY want. Not empty mind you, but with a little something for each so they can stash it away or spend it, mama doesn’t care, but at the store where she buys this stuff there was THIS (whatever this is).
NO, NO, mama that’s not a wreath. You’ve picked out the wrong photo–that’s fruit to make ice cream!!!
THIS is what you were looking for (I’m the one who has to do pictures around here, as you can see).
Now who is this guy? He’s dressed sort of funny but look familiar.
Mama has also been singing about nuts–chestnuts. What are they? But it looks as if they ARE roasting on an open fire, whatever that means.
And what’s all this STUFF?
Well, a tree covered with hearts I can understand.
But uh, oh. Mama has sprouted WINGS and let me tell you this is taking it too far. Mama is NO angel.
Well, maybe when she feeds me. I am going to have to get with it I can see that. Holidays have to be gotten through and I know where I will be most of them. Haha, how did you guess?
Where would our humans be without us, Loulou?
Well, they would be a whole lot worse off than they are now and I don’t even want to contemplate that.
MOL Oh LouLou, we luv your “airplane” look. You always look so adorable. Me’s been tellin’ sis Raena all ’bout Christmas and Santa and everythin’ else. She’s really ‘cited to write her letter to da big guy, me just hopes she doesn’t get too carried away. MOL Anyways, those are really cute fotos. Mommy hasn’t been in any store recently so we don’t know what kind of decotations they have up, but one of da neighbors really goes all out. We can’t wait fur mommy to take us by to see them. We just luv da flashin’ lights. Big hugs to all.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Mama’s family used to drive around and look at lights in yards and I wish that happened now. Anthros have sort of calmed down since then with decorations, mama says, but I love the lights, too.
Yeah LouLou, mommy says ifin we didn’t like da lights so much she wouldn’t decorate or bother with da drivin’ either. She says it gets so cold out she’d rather be cuddlin’ at home with us, but seein’ da looks on our faces when we see a house all decked out and lit up, she says makes her all warm and fuzzy inside. Just like she drank a hot chocolate or somethin’. Maybe your pawrents will take you to a few places. Big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Well, I hope so, too. But I think all of us writers would LOVE a Christmas song from your mama’s beautiful voice……….hint, hint.
Are you sure your mama is no angel? She sure looks like one.
Sorry you aren’t in the holiday mood. We aren’t really either. Last year Sam was sick all through the holidays and they were very hard to get through.
Oh I hope so much this year is better for you. Lots of hugs and snuggles help a little, I think.
Yes, your Mama is an angel. Those chestnuts look so good.
Hey, she can fool anyone. And the chestnuts are good after mama puts olive oil and salt on them. They can be a bit dry, in my opinion but I only tasted a tiny bit.
Everything looks so festive, Loulou. Do you know we’ve never seen chestnuts roasting over an open fire?
Well, mama hadnt either until they came to Europe and in Rome they are everywhere. Nice smell but they are not everyone’s cup of tea…whatever that means.
Loulou, everything is so festive in your little village. Mom said the best looking thing (besides, you of course) is that fruit. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Well, the fruit is pretty but here’s a secret. It was frozen and mama used it to make sorbet.
