Well, let’s hear it for Bastille Day. Bravo for the French who revolted against oppression as the rich got richer and the poor got poorer. Sounds familiar.
But today we celebrate, even though the fireworks are next door in a little town 2 km. up the road. But I think those planes are going to fly over with red, white and blue smoke, just like the ones in Italy on their special day in June.
I’m under the bed for this one, so mama will have to tell me all about it tomorrow!
Actually, maybe this will muffle the sound a bit better…
Oh Loulou darling, loud booms can be harmful to dainty ears and it was good that you protected yours with the blankie. Humans don’t know how to celebrate quietly.
Well, we were inside and the booms were outside and after the booms that we did not hear, we heard instead the music coming from our little center of town and so I listened to Gypsy Kings sing-alikes all night in the garden. So cool! I love those guys.
Happy Bastille Day! Though we hope the noise stops soon.
It is over!
Hoping you made it through Bastille Day ok! xoxo
Huh? What’s that? CanT hear too well today, haha.
Happy Bastille Day! Sorry it is a noisy day.
Well, I heard zilch, haha. And actually, the wind caused the fireworks to be canceled for another time.
What??!! No No, I always thought they lit up the Eiffel Tower to celebrate my birthday! The Big Eight Ohhhhh today .. and your saying it’s something to do with the French, and NOT me? What a let down ….
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY to you. One of mama’s oldest friends has your birthday, too.
Good choice, Loulou. No need for you to go deaf because the humans are celebrating. Happy Bastille Day.
THEY CANCELED THE POPS AND BOOMS because of WIND. Maybe tonight.
Well, LouLou, I hope that while you are safe UTB they don’t forget you need your dinner !
Oh, they are very good in this restaurant about serving on time. And I show up PRECISELY at six. No dinner at eight for me!
Hurrey for one of the most important days in modern history! It’s a pity though that humans tend to make a lot of noise when they’re celebrating something, sigh. They still have a lot to learn, don’t they?
