I’m a bit tired myself…just want to disappear into this comforter…
Well, that just means that mama is so tired that she cannot help me with her usual fixing of typos and inserting of pics, etc. that I seem to rely on lately. Our time differences (7 hours, 9 hours and even 12 hours for Hawaii!) sometimes make me sleepy when it’s only early morning in other places where friends live.
That said, I do wish to say that we are approaching the MIDDLE of winter when the days begin to get LONGER instead of this grey, cold, shivering time that makes kitties like me only want to snooze off for hours and hours and not do much else.
But today, we heard that Ernie of The Island Cats, has some medical trouble with his tummy, and if you can, do drop by to say coraggio and leave a few supportive words for his family. Ernie, we know it’s going to get better with all of us clapping our paws! Hang in there and rest and know that your mama is doing all she can for you.
I think I’ll turn in and think a little about how to send good vibes to Ernie. I know they’ll get there…
Thanks for thinking about me and sending me lots of good thoughts, Loulou. I really appreciate it. ~Ernie
Oh, Ernie, you and Wally are two of my favourite kitties and you, Wally, look like mama’s first kitty, Fiat. And Ernie, you get well, you hear? We’re rootin’ for you.
Oh my goodness Loulou – you have never seen snow????? I grew up in Wisconsin, upper midwest in America, and we had lots of snow. One time it was so high it was over my head and that was the only time they closed our schools. We walked to school, over a mile, in the snow Loulou – something you just got used to. Sort of like little tiny pellets of frozen water. But the short days with lots of dark at both ends happens to many of us and I too am waiting impatiently for the winter solstice when the days start getting longer. Just take more naps Loulou and the days will go by more quickly.
Good idea. Naps are the cure for everything and make the time pass quickly. Whatever time is.
Well, it snowed in France once but I think I slept through it!
BON COURAGE, Ernie!! Mama and I send good vibes, thoughts and huge wishes for good health for a long time to come.
And, Loulou, me too, missing those longer, less cold days and nights! Mama’s threatening to buy me a sweater – Papa has that look of horror on his face. He’ll get over it – but it had better be a PRETTY ONE or i will do my Drama Queen act !!!
Well, I have heard that neither doggies nor kitties like the attire that those anthros put on them! And Chihuahuas sometimes just shake all over, even in hot weather. Who knows? Mama has ordered a book on Cat Mojo and she will know more in a little while about dressing up kitties.
oh my we didn’t hear about Ernie, we will head over there for sure. Thanks for telling us!
Yes, well, Ermie is such a friend, he and Wally, and they are so good together that maybe Wally will help the healing.
Oh Loulou, I will hope right on over to Island Cats. You enjoy your sleep. (The weather -gray and rain- thunder – snow pellets -) just makes us all want to sleep here too !)
SNOW PELLETS? Wow, are they hard like hail or just pellet-like and melt? I’ve never seen snow….whatever that is.
The are hard but so tiny they don’t hurt, and they usually melt pretty quickly. They form because it’s not so cold and the melt and refreeze like tiny hailstones. You can hear them hitting the leaves – tick-tick-tick. Brr ! (They’re also called “graupel”)
Thanks for explaining!
