Well, I am a bit agitated and blue today. And I really wish to be laughing so that the world will laugh with me, as the saying goes. Maybe tomorrow…
In fact, I promise that tomorrow sweet nothings will issue forth from my little pink bocca.
Here goes:
Mamma reads me the mews in the morning and today it was disturbing beyond disturbing. Millions of children in the USA next month will lose their health care, thanks to our indecisive government. But, in 2009 this is what happened!
Education will suffer horrendously because of what are supposed to be “beneficial” tax cuts (as if we needed that–we are already behind other countries on many levels
And you, dear readers, unless you are a corporation or big time business, will NOT benefit at all from the tax cut that gives a huge break to the aforementioned and will seriously mess with your pocketbooks. The very poor will only get poorer.
You know, you don’t really want to give up your turkey for the holidays, but this turkey is one that millions in the USA and around the world would gladly see GONE!
(Sorry, turkeys, you get a bad rap, because you really taste so good!)
*****
That said, I shall try to get back to my ruminations on life, love and the pursuit of happiness for all, but frankly, if we bury our heads in the ever-shifting sands of this government, we are failing our country.
Okay, okay, I’ll leave it to Noodle. Thank heaven for that wise and investigative kitty! One day, all of us, all of you, will see just how much wreckage will have to be cleaned up in our devastated government.
And no more hiding!
Hats off to women anthros who are speaking out after centuries of suffering the abuse of power. Brave!!!
WELL Loulou, I didn’t get this newsletter and looked back to see why you had been blue. Well, that is bad, but mama, being an optimist, says sometimes things have to hit bottom before the light shines through (or something like that). And it’s hard to see to see how much farther the bottom can sink. The saddest is those who will lose healthcare and benefits. If only people could experience the system here instead of cheering “we have the best” (they don’t) it would change everything. Maybe. Meanwhile, I’ll do my part and pee on anything orange.
OH, MYA, you are too funny. I wonder if kitties could do that too. Uh, oh, I’m a house kitty, haha. Ánd mama LOVES orange….
Please come out from hiding, LouLou ! The rest of us need to see you to have courage !
Okay, I came out and set a good example. I think.
