A teacher friend of mama’s once said that assumption is the mother of mess up.
How true. Mama went to the doc thinking she would have her head fixed and instead only got it examined. Why on earth would she assume that a surgeon is going to snip around on your head without discussion and explanation of the whole process? Duh.
Even I could have told you that, mama.
SO, back to the drawing board in August. In this case, back to the doc now that she knows what’s going to happen.
Mama just hopes he is a fine coutourier, because he’s doing stitches that are supposed to be invisible and so that mama won’t look like Frankenstein with a cross-hatch scar. But I think she’ll look as if she were in a fencing match for a few months.
Hey, she’s lucky: young, thick skin is really hard to sew up, and mama has old, fragile skin, haha. Uh, oh, she’s giving me a look…..
Mama, you’re just an old sew and sew, haha.
EEK! I think your momma should let you stitch up her head instead of some ol’ surgeon that doesn’t know her like you do or have the built-in equipment. Just sayin’.
Hey, now there’s an idea…Uh, oh, why is mama running out the door?
Oh LouLou, we’ll be purrayin’ fur awnty Suzanne. We know it’ll be okay. We’re sure the surgeon will do a good job. We just want her to be okay and back home with you sooner rather than later. Big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Yes, I get a little worried when mama and papa are gone. But oh, do I love my kitty lady!!!
Well, we bet your mama wishes the whole thing was over but it’s probably best that she knows what’s gonna happen before it does.
YES, YES, so good to have info before someone goes at your HEAD!!!
Well, I have heard that when you “assume” it makes an ass out of U and me. Maybe.
Apparently the surgeon doesn’t feel Mama’s surgery is urgent. I hope it isn’t that big a deal, really. But of course, minor surgery is what happens to somebody else.
OH, we love that definition! Yes, it is not major surgery, but it’s major for mama. A scar of about 2-inches across her forehead is what’s in store, but invisible stitches. Hope he is a good seamstress…er…seamster.
HAHA – an old sew and sew!!!! Well, we are all thrilled with the assumption (isn’t that a religious holiday?) because that means they’ll be BACK!!! At least he didn’t re-schedule for Halloween, so that’s a good sign he’ll do some pretty stitching! But hey, Loulou – you missed the fun and giggles (and food). We have to get you in Travel Mode so WE can play!!!!
HA HA love the Halloween joke! Maybe he’ll lift a few wrinkles with the sewing, mama says. And boy, did I miss some fun!
That sounds pretty serious, I will be praying for your Mama.
Well, mama thanks you for that, but now it is going to be in August. I think all will be well, as it is something that does not grow more than a hair’s width per month. We’ll be fine. Thank you.
Oh, all that time thinking this would be over today and now she has to wait. Marcus says if the doc messes up the stitches, he (Marcus) will come practice his sewing on the doc! And Marcus hasn’t learned to sew, so that doc better do his finest stitching. Or else!
OMG…the idea of MARCUS taking over is staggering! The poor doc, how little he knows what he might be in for. But mama liked him and papa liked him even more so they feel fine about it all. But yes, to put it off was disappointing. They were just a bit naïve, really. You HAVE to meet with your doc before he ‘fixes’ you….hate to use that word, haha.
