You guys go ahead. I think I’ll just stay here and…er…get some work done, zzzzzzz. (The beach IS the world’s best litter box, that’s for sure!)
Well, Mya’s mama sent this article about an amazing artist who is creating works made from debris she found on beaches.
Mama remembers that when she was in Italy as a young woman, she found so many things on the beach of Viareggio that she could have lived there without ever having to shop except for food! Of course there were often other things, too, hypodermic needles, discarded medications, you name it.
But how inspiring and thought-provoking that this artist has taken debris and made these fantastic sculptures, one of which, the ribs of a whale, you can walk through. Maybe those who see these wonderful sculptures will think twice about tossing their plastic into the precious sea.
Mama and papa love beaches but don’t go often any longer because of the hot sun, but in early morning and evening here, there are beach-combers looking for bottle glass or shells or whatever has washed up. These beaches are kept very clean, but a beach in the morning does sometimes provide treasures…a shoe, a lovely piece of driftwood, a starfish.
Early morning is best to beachcomb.
I wish kitties were allowed on the beach here, but we all get skittly when it comes to hanging out with hundreds of anthros spread out in the sun! Not sure they want a kitty padding over their beach towels and looking for handouts from their lunches, haha.
Plus, I really don’t have a proper swimsuit this year…
Hey, aren’t there NUDE beaches?
There are nude beaches, Loulou. You should find one! 🙂
Well, better nude than RUDE, as is my mama taking pics of my BODY!

We are going to the beach with our cats in the near future. Your cat is very cute
Oh, thank you for visiting! Yes, the beach! Bonne chance!
WELL, Loulou – this is such a great exposition – and such magical creativity with waste from the sea! Mama sent her friend Bettie (who LIVES in New Orleans) the article – and she didn’t even know the expo was on and is going to spread the word. The city should be making this a HUGE event!!
By the way – I went (nude) to the beach with mama and Papa, but spent the day under papa’s beach chair. It was the last warm day before the HEAT hit!!!
YOU WERE NUDE? Wow, lucky Westie….
I know a lot of people who find beautiful things on beaches. I don’t live near one and sure wish I did.Kudos to that artist!
Yes, she is amazing!
Dog fish are a kind of shark, right ? I wonder if there are Peanut Butter fish ?
Well, now, THAT would be interesting.
Why don’t we furries just get together and open our own nude beach?
YES. 🦀🐟🦐🦑🐋🐳🐬🏊♀️HERE IN FRANCE!
Great fotos LouLou. We’ve never been to a beach befur. But we don’t have swimsuits either. Guess we’ll all have to look fur a nude beach. MOL Big hugs
