Well, actually, it’s city, ho, as we are now installed in the apartment, I, under the bed on my little blanket that mama used as a bebe and mama and papa installed with something in a glass that looks pretty effective for relaxing after this ordeal, haha.
What a trip! You see, while we were away, there was a leak from the air conditioner in the bedroom that lifted the flooring in a certain part of the room and then there was more lifting in the living room from rain that sneaked in under the French door and then…oh, let’s just drop it. There are more important and worse catastrophes in the world…a little town near ours in France was inundated with 7 meters of river that rose with the hard rain in a short while and people died…terrible.
But what I wish to say is that I really rode the waves this time, far better than before, but no kitty should have to go to sea! Still, a car trip of 3 days would be MUCH WORSE, and they simply cannot live without me.
It’s destiny.
Here, the news is that there is a Film Fest in Rome and some pretty wild films will be shown. Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11, for example.
But I am staying HOME for those. Mama puts Sylvester and Tweety Bird on the TV for me and I make a little popcorn (when they’re GONE) and have myself a sweet little film fest of my own.’
Hmm…did I BRING my popcorn?
Oh LouLou, sorry ’bout the water damage. That’s never good. But we’re glad ya’ll are safe. That’s what be most ‘purrtant. Big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Just a little new flooring and all will be well. But meanwhile, not too pretty. Thank you for kind words.
OH MY – water damage back home? See? Roma = Buona! You wouldn’t want to be there with all that hammering and repair going on, non? You can do your own film festival from the sofa on the tv! And I know you miss your garden – but it’ll be wind and rain and cold in a month and you’ll be in cozy comfort. Actually we have it pretty good – I’m waiting on my wake-up kibbles now.
Wake-up kibbles? How do you wake THEM up? I jump on mama’s head and purr.
Enjoy your film fest LouLou. I was in 2 independent horror movies if you are interested :)Both are on dvd and Amazon, and both are awful 🙂
OH, PLEASE SEND THE LINKS!!! I’d love to see you in horrow films, Ellen. We ALL would. Papa was a writer/producer in H-wood for years. We’re used to bad movies.
We are glad you are nice and dry!
Have a great Wednesday…
Noodle and crew
Oh, Noodle, if only the people who NEED to read you would read you. Love your blog, so aware, so intelligent. We read it always and try to comment but we are sure NO ONE who would benefit is even taking it seriously. Probably call it “fake blog”, haha. So sorry it’s an uphill struggle.
Okay, so your folks are going to be busy with repairs and a film fest and family and … What are YOUR plans, Loulou?
How sad for those in France that died in all that water. (Is 7 meters really 23′? That is a lot!)
Yes, your mama and dada really missed you when they were gone a few months ago and you stayed home! It was nice of them to take the fastest route to cut your travel time.
And, Jan, I was back in shape in MINUTES. I came in this apartment out of my cage and RULED!!!
Some deluge in your Mom’s old stomping grounds too.
Yes, LOTS of water, but here in Roma, zilch. We are high and dry and it’s warm. Go figure. Still, mama’s fave beans are growing….
