Halloween in Rome! A little girl getting her face painted with a spiderweb!
You ARE going to vote, right?
Well, mama and papa say that voting is one of the serious obligations of malcontents and gripers and complainers (I think they speak from experience, haha).
If you can’t take the heat, stay in the kitchen and stir up something cool, haha.
Which is only to say that the right to vote is a BIG gift that our country gives us, and you don’t want to look a gift in the mouth, whatever that means. I think it’s “horse” but the gift of freedom to vote is not to be ignored but instead holds a place of honor in the USA.
We may not like everything that is going on, some may feel neglected, forgotten, abandoned, disillusioned, and some of us may feel we have lost the integrity and civility that America once demonstrated to other countries, but mama says that this time, there are so many strong and thoughtful young women and men running for office that we really must take a look at what they are offering to all of us who wish to be seen and heard.
And mama has to mention Lizzie Fletcher from Houston, where mama grew up. She is the daughter of one of mama’s friends from high school, and her policies and proposals are worth looking at, even if you are not voting in Texas!
Just vote, OKAY?
(And happy Halloween to everyone even though I couldn’t put my photo in with my costume on because it’s on the computer that isn’t functioning so you may be seeing me in my Halloween costume around Christmas.)
We don’t have early voting but I will be there at 7am EST right as they open so I can vote before I go to work. Have only missed I think one election in over 40 years and that was due to illness. Cannot understand people who never vote. And you are adorable costume or not Loulou
Well, I’m still looking for my mask, but I guess around New Year’s you might see me in it…
Great reminder for America ! It’s really impawtant ! Purrs
Could you send mama a good recipe for fondue? I know this is a trite question, but she LOVED fondue…and thank you.
Yes,
just vote
but
vote right!
You mean not left? Uh, oh.
Yes !
Gave a good day.
Bisous à Loulou
Merci, Ralphe, et bisous aux animaux chez vous aussi!
Well, mama says she can’t vote in the mid-terms since she will have to register with the state and local – and that would make her liable for local and state taxes!! Read that in the NYTimes!! But she will be voting in the presidential election in 2020 for sure – and in the French elections too, now that she has dual nationality! Gee, Loulou – wish we could vote.
Well, in southern states is where you would be needed. And mama’s friend’s daughter in Houston is a very positive change, if she is elected. A wonderful young woman. And there are so many running this time. Maybe women will make a BIG change…it’s about time.
LouLou you are soooooooooo right !! You worded it nicely too..I would say “JUST VOTE DAMMIT!!!” MOL MOL MOL!! Oh and I LOVE the expressions on your face! xoxo
Well, you have to get a bit pushy around here to get things done, but they DID vote two weeks ago, thank heaven.
We always vote. Happy Halloween!
Well, I certainly am glad. Wish everyone did…such a blessing to have and then ignore it.
Okay, we’ll look forward to seeing you in your Halloween costume at Christmas. Don’t forget.
Jan already voted. We wanted to vote too but she said if we added our names, her vote would be voided. We think she is making that up.
Well, you could have signed “Aurelius”after “Marcus”, Marcus! Bet they’d be baffled by that one and just cast your vote anyway.
Well, you could have signed “Aurelius”, Marcus…they’d cast THAT vote for sure.
Voted two weeks ago, right at the Board of Elections. Paws crossed.
Hurrah for you, Mary! Yes all four crossed…
“If you don’t vote you can’t gripe!”
Hear, hear! And good to remind us all!
Grandma always says, “If you don’t vote then you can’t bi@%!” Purr-lease excuse her colorful word, but it makes a point, don’t you think? Tee hee hee. Tummy tickles.
Well, grandma is right as rain and the word, suitable to me! Vote, don’t mope,
