I am on pins and needles about these midterms!!!
“La, la, la–anticipation is funny, it makes a cloudy day sunny, makes my tummy all funny, just as yours might be, too….”–haha new words for an old song.
I am just all anticipatational (my word) over this voting business, so all of us here have decided (because of the time change) to take a look at the news, our time 11pm, and then just go to bed, try to sleep, and watch the results tomorrow.
Anticipation can be a bit unnerving, and there is a great word in Italian, scaramanzia, that basically means superstitious, and so mama is crossing fingers and touching metal (which is what one touches in Italy instead of wood, along with…er…other things that really can’t be mentioned and which may not be available in your neighborhood but since we have papa, they are, haha) and hoping for the best. Whatever that is…
I can’t stand the suspense and so I’m off to snooze. Sorry, but I just can’t bear this excitement right now…
Hey, wake me when it’s OVER!!!
I’ll cross my paws that you hear the results that you’re hoping for, Loulou. Mom voted on Monday and then I rode along with her in the car and watched her put her ballet in the drop box. I’m so-o glad it wasn’t a visit to the V-E-T!
Wish you could have voted, too, you smart kitty.
We cross our paws for America and for our US friends ! Purrs
Merci for your wishes!
We TOO are anticipational – and Loulou, that’s a brilliant word. Sad for Texas – the demonic Cruz seems to have won. But LOTS of women have won seats and the house is looking to be BLUE. Sure beats Orange. Oops – she meant RED. Hey, mama – I’m orange, but I don’t have a bad comb-over so it’s OK!!! But more to come….. it’s not over yet.
Oh, you are in NO WAY combed over. ARGGGGH for the Blue Wave, but let’s hear it for WOMEN ANTHROS!!!!
My hubby and I voted and are eagerly awaiting the results. Polls just closed in most places near us ( the East coast).
Let’s hope for Stacey!!!
LouLou you made us giggle!!! My husband and I will watch til late, the problem is, I heard that California takes a month to count their votes! Seriously?????
WOW, a month? I didn’t know that, and mama was in California for years. I think it’s quicker than that.
Clang, clang, clang! Oops. We got a little carried away. It isn’t really over yet. Almost over here, but some time zones to go.
Crossed paws.
Same here LouLou !
We are so upset about Texas….
