Hey, mama and papa, did you two have a nice time out gazing at turtles?
Well, mama and papa finally found themselves strolling through the ancient ghetto of Rome, at the piazza where the lovely turtle fountain attracts so many tourists.
You see there are four little turtles around the top of the basin, and since it has recently been restored, the fountain is one of the most beautiful in Rome, they tell me.
Because there was so much to do when we arrived (fix damaged floor, get curtains washed, get washing machine to replace 30-year-old one, etc), mama and papa have not had much time to just feast their eyes on the beauty of this Eternal City.
I, poor me, can only gaze out the long front windows at the piazza, but I do see lots of things–the two doggies, for example, who pass each morning and have for YEARS and bark and bark and bark at one another! They are on leashes, thank heaven, or they would tear each other’s throats out, haha, but you’d think they would be friends after such a long time together in the piazza. But you know, doggies are pretty unusual and you never know. Maybe that’s their personal language of love, haha.
So I’ll be putting in some nice photos, I hope, of things mama and papa see as they stroll.
That is, if there is another stroll. I just saw a To-Do list on the dining table and oh, boy, I’m glad it’s not MINE.
NO, NO, I do not want a list, mama. I’ve done all my chores! My To-Do list says SNOOZE.
And that’s all your to do list should ever say, Loulou! Tee hee hee. I don’t think Mom and Dad saw that turtle fountain when they visited Rome several years ago. I think I would like a turtle furr-iend. Would you? Maybe your momma and papa will see a pussycat fountain on their next stroll. Purr purr purr.
OH, a pussy cat fountain. Now THAT would be an addition to Rome’s monuments.
Oh my, barking dogs we can do without though thankfully you do not have to go on a leash with them! It does sound like your staff are pretty much occupied with renovating your palace, that has to be a good thing as you will now doubt get extra facilities for your own use, and more time to tick things off your own to-do list. Top of mine, well joint top actually, is eating sleeping and hunting. Not necessarily in that order but close enough.

Oh, you know how it is when these anthers decide to ‘fix’things–a word not used in MY vocabulary, haha. And sometimes I feel sorry for doggies on leashes when they want to run and play, the way WE do all the time. Yes, my facilities were enhanced…
Sometimes I am sorry for doggies on leashes.
I like your to-do list LouLou 🙂
Yes, isn’t it great? Mama wants one like that, too.
Our to-do list says the same thing. Too bad Jan actually has a list and snooze isn’t on it.
Oh, poor Jan. Couldn’t you just sneak it in on her list?
