e ka hula '
Well, the little grandanthros and their parents came down into our neighborhood yesterday for Sunday Night Pizza, which I have begun to call it because it’s a tradition now, even in our little French ville where mama makes it from scratch EVERY Sunday come hell or high water.
Usually there is a Sunday soccer match, which is why it’s a tradition in a way. After matches, pizza seems the best late night supper. Not too heavy, not too light.
But this weekend we will have rugby–the Italian team vs the All Blacks, and mama is so tickled because she will see the All Blacks do their haka! I think she’s practicing herself so she can do it along with them, haha.
If you have never seen the All Blacks do their thing, here it is.
Boy, if I were a rugby opponent to the ABs, I would be high-tailing it to parts unknown!
But at least we’ll get our pizza after the match, no matter what happens.
And something always does. They are only the most famous rugby team in the world.
I wonder if they know how to hula, too?
It’s all in the paws….
The Hawaiians have an impressive war dance too, but I don’t know if they have a rugby team.
Oh, did I goof. New Zealand!! Mama knew that and she didn’t TELL me. But when they do the haka, it looks so Hawaiian! There are war dances in Hawaii, too, I think, but boy did I goof. And mama has been a fan for YEARS. I think she’s slipping….
Well, the war dances are probably similar – Polynesian sailors got to all the Pacific Islands. Very impressive – they use their facial expressions to intimidate too.
Yes, most war dances are to intimidate, that’s for sure. You should see mine when I want my dinner! Haha, just kidding, but for an anthro like mama with…er…fairly much edu, she should NEVER have crossed wires on haka and hula………
Saturday is the game. I’m going to show her the difference, haha. My hula beats their haka any day.
Great hula pose, Lou lou
Oh, thank you but I forgot my grass skirt!
Yes, but boy, did mama goof when she FORGOT that New Zealand is the home of the All Blacks! What a dodo.
Wow – I would even even sit through a rugby game for crumbs of your mama’s pizza. It is the BEST ever – and since my mama refuses to make dough of any sort (she says that’s what the supermarkets are for) – ugh – well, Papa is going to try your mama’s recipe for pizza dough! He has promised me a taste…….YIPPEE!!!!
Oh, how mama wishes she were there to …er… drop accidently a little crispy crust!
I’ll drop my ctust on the floor just for you, Hoover!
Rugby players that hula? That we want to see!
We like the Sunday pizza tradition. Any crumbs left?
Always, for you Funny Farmers!
Yes, LOTS for the Funnies.
