Well, that title is Italian for lightning and thunder, whatever THEY are, but I can tell you this: about four this dark, grey afternoon, I was sleeping peacefully on mama’s knees when
BAMMO!!!
I went into the air about a meter (okay, around a yard) and high-tailed it for my security blanket under the bed!
BUT…I also noticed that mama and papa were huddled together for safety after that one! They were saying how wild and crazy and wonderful that sound barrier noise was and that they’d never heard anything like it and then we got up from our naps and some of the lights didn’t work! Oh, boy.
BUT evidently there are such things in the world called circuit-breakers so papa saved the day with the flick of a switch.
I wish I had a switch on my ears to flick off when I hear booms like THAT one! Uh, oh, here come ANOTHER ONE!
I’M OUTTA HERE!
We don’t like that thunder stuff either! We usually make a bee-line under the bed.
Yes, well, I had to push mama and papa over a bit to fit there, haha.
Loulou, frankly, what’s the point in going to Italy ?
You keep having trouble there, it seems.
Come back here and put on your yellow jacket !
Wait a minute! Don’t they STING? What’s my yellow jacket? A rain coat? I’d need that for sure.
Haven’t you heard about La colère des gilets jaunes ?
Evidently not! We wear red bandanas around here….
WOAH! SO glad the computer didn’t blow up!! And you and mama and papa with it!! Thank goodness Papa knew where the circuit breakers were!! They say we’re going to get a bit of that today – a scary alerte orange. Mama thought that meant Trump was coming to Nice – but NOOOO – it refers to the weather = BAD. And I have an appointment for a “toilettage” – I think that’s french for doggie hair-do – and as bad as that is, I’m going to get rained on!!?? At least you don’t have to deal with that horror. It’s a dog’s life.
Well, my hairdo sort of stays the same. Boring. Maybe a few little pink streaks or something…Or one of those soccer hair dos with nude stripes down my fur. KEEP DRY, Mya. You don’t want your coif ruined.
Just don’t get your coif ruined, Mya. Maybe hide somewhere before the toilettage, haha. And so funny, Trump coming to town, hahaha
I’m not sure I’ve ever heard thunder or seen lightning here. It maybe happens once or twice a year and the our humans love to oooh and aaawe at it . We are just not in the right climate being cool when it rains and not so hot that we het thunderstorms.
I will probably go UTB too when or if I see it happen here also. Sounds terrifying!
Luvz, Patzy
You don’t wanna know…….
WOW—no thunder or lightning? Amazing….
That is a scary sound.
We thought it was a jet breaking the sound barrier.
BOOM, BOOM, BOOM. Like the sound barrier, whatever that is.
We would be outa there too! We hate those boomers.
Maybe headphones with nice Meow Music….
UTB…best place for weathering storms.
Glad everything was ok after that ! Several years ago lightning struck a tree up back – about 40 yards from the house – and the ground shook. No harm done – except to the tree !
OH, poor tree.
Eeek, stay safe Lou lou and family!
Well, it’s over and as if nothing had happened.
