HEY, that little altitude-impaired robin is going down to visit JEAN’S garden!!! I want him HERE to ward off winter!
Well, today papa peeked out and saw a little what-looked-like-a-baby robin on our terrace, just bob, bob, bobbin’ along and papa said HEY, it’s spring!!! No way, Jose. Four degrees Celsius at night? But still, the days are so mild and so lovely, what on earth is going on? But Spring?
Yeah, right…good luck.
Or as some Italians say, good night to the bucket. Whatever that means! Or in bocca al lupo–in the mouth of the wolf, which I have mentioned many times before ad nauseam.
Whatever THAT means!
So you get my drift–NO SPRING OUT THERE, just the little messenger who clearly got his seasons out of order.
Robin: You talking’ to ME? Hey, I know where my crackers crumble!
Spring? Don’t we all wish it was spring?. MOL Stay warm and toasty. Big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Oh, that birdie disappeared so quickly after his snack.
It’s funny. I always associated robins with winter. But I seem to see them all year round in Scotland. I know it’s pretty cold here most of the time but it’s not ALWAYS winter temperatures.
Oh, Scottist robins! Are they like rockin’robins?
Well, Loulou, no spring here either!! Bet that little robin will be happy when things warm up TOO. Last night we went out and mama made me wear my “fur” collared coat. Papa thought it was ridiculous (but it kept me warm) and he kept complaining in my behalf and mama said – OK – YOU, papa, strip down to nothing right here on the street and walk around and see how it feels. Do that or stop complaining. He stopped, teehee.
Was that a typo? You mean “he stripped”, right?
No, he didn’t strip – he backed off of his critique, teehee……
Oh, shucks.
I think Spring is a long ways off 🙂
Well, that’s for sure what everyone is saying around here.
Wow ! That is obviously a “European” Robin. Over here we get Slate Colored Juncos who come down here for the Winter and fly north in the Summer. They haven’t appeared yet. They were late last year too. Enjoy it while it lasts, I guess !
Well, he left right after the crackers and hasn’t been back since. I think he is hibernating in Florida by now.
