That kid did WHAT?
Well, today I’m sharing with you the sweetest story of a young immigrant, Tani, and his family who came to the USA to escape Bokul Haren atrocities in Nigeria.
This eight-year-old will make you teary with happiness. At least it made US teary! Mama says that there are so many of these families who come to our illustrious and welcoming (or used to be) country to make a better life for themselves. Please take the time to read this moving story–his mother and father are pretty amazing, too.
And as for a nice St. Patty’s Day laugh, here is a big, fluffy, playful doggy who just can’t seem to follow the rules.
Isn’t it fun to not follow rules sometimes? I think I am a bit too predictable. I get up, I jump on mama, we play for a nanosecond, then papa opens the shutters, I get mama to feed me, I walk around the garden, I go to the stairs and myow loudly and everyone says, “What on earth does Loulou want?”
I then go upstairs to mama’s atelier and rub on everything, hoping she’ll take the hint and WORK.
I then go to sleep. I wake up for lunch. I walk around the garden. I come back in and snooze with them.
I wake up. I walk around the garden. I have my “cocktail” with them sometimes. Mama then gives me dinner. I snooze on the couch if they watch TV. I get up, I have my tooth crackers. I go to bed for the whole night and then everything begins again.
SOOOO PREDICTABLE!!! I think I need to branch out, no? Get some Floppy Dog Behavior Lessons!
Or learn chess.
Hmmm…what a choice.
Your move.
We think you’re purrfect just the way you are LouLou. But, what’s an atelier? We’re not furmiliar with that word. As fur the US, it’s still furiendly, we just purrfur ifin peeps come here the right way. There’s no other country in the world that accepts and pays more immigrants than the US. Big hugs
Luv ya’

But we keep innocent children in cages separated from their mommies.
Loulou, your days (and nights) sound as predictable as mine!! And the goofy dog – WOW! – he looks like a LOT of fun, but bet ne need a big space with all that energy. I could chase HIM like I chase my toys – but uh-oh – what would I do if I caught him?! And that brilliant, determined wonderful (VERY) young chess player is an inspiration. This is the upside of immigration – this is what people want – OPPORTUNITY. I hope many people read this article and remember where their ancestors came from and why they immigrated. Most to escape poverty or better their lives. PLUS that doggie was an immigrant TOO – escaping poverty and maltreatment and look at his happy, boundless energy! Making me hungry……..
Oh, Mya, you really know how to cut to the chase, haha. Yes, immigrants all, WE.
You know what they say, Loulou….rules were made to be broken! We’ll go check out these stories. 🙂
They are really inspiring stories. I hope you enjoy them!
What a dedicated, talented young boy.
We remember Kraku from last year. He has so much fun at those agility shows. And we enjoyed Rudy the bulldog, the video at the bottom of the article.
Well, I’m certainly going to see that one, too. Right now!
Great links, LouLou – thank you !
By the way, there are agility trials for CATS too ! Just sayin…
You think I should enter one of those? HAHAHA
