WAIT A MINUTE – NO KITTY LOOKS JUST LIKE ME, GET IT?
Well, mama and papa were at a book signing up on one of Rome’s seven hills, monte Celio or Caelian hill, and discovered a place they had never even known about, much less visited!
And in the lovely gardens of the Lay Center, a catholic organization, where the signing was held, they found beautiful remnants of Roman walls, plus a kitty like me (well, hardly!) perched in one of the ruins who looked as if she could (possibly!) be a relative of MINE! Funny how you see the odd Tuxie here and there. Mama always wonders if perhaps we are all one big family, what with our similar coloring and fur and cattitude, haha.
But there is so much to discover in this amazing city, mama says. She and papa have been in Rome off and on (papa, quite a long time when he was married before to an Italian) for over 44 years and yet mama tells me that every single day when she goes out to the shops or for a walk, she sees yet another marvelous site.
There is one they have just discovered around the corner, but I’m being kept in suspense until mama gets a photo of it….
Something to do with via della Gatta, street of the cat (appropriately named since it is where Berlusconi resided and held his bunga bunga parties, haha).
She’s going out for a photo NOW!
(Bet that kitty in the ruins isn’t as cute as I AM!)
now that IS funny that your Mama saw a kitty that “resembles” you but could never, ever be YOU!
i do think we are related though.
That kitty in the ruins is nowhere near as cute as you, Loulou. Can’t wait to see your mama’s ‘street of the cats’ photo!
Well I guess you saw it today and it’s a very old statue of a kitty.
Oh, Loulou – you do need a poussette so you could participate in seeing these marvels!! Rome has so many wonderful things to see – well, I don’t know first-hand, but that’s what mama says….. er…..you would especially like the fish market! And you could teach those other tuxies your yoga positions. I’m practicing!!! I’m trying to get in shape for summer. Coiffure Tuesday – that should help!
Oh you doggies are so lucky to have a beauty parlor to go to but of course we kitties don’t really need that ha ha.
Maybe you are related to my Emmy too 🙂
Oh, I am sure Emmy and I are cousins.
Yep, there is only one you, a true original!
Oh, Brian, merci for your flattery!
Of course not! No kitty is as cute as you, Loulou, especially to your mama and papa.
Well, you are so kind to say that, but there is competition out there!
What a cool place! We love seeing the old ruins.
More to come…
One of my vets told me that Siamese cats that are mixed breeds are often tuxedos. That could explain some of the chattiness.
Wow, mama has had a Siamese, Louis, and he was nothing like me in looks. But very interesting stuff…
Very creative! Love your style:)
Merci beaucoup, Buster and Whiskers. I’m coming to visit you!
