Well, mama thinks I’m just a silly kitty who plays with my feathers all day. But she forgets that I took some pretty fun photos of the jets that fly over Rome on June 2nd, La Festa della Republica in Italy.
When mama and papa came to Rome years ago, they landed often on June 1st and then the very next day (I think I have mentioned this before…), the planes flew over and left the red, white and green stripes of smoke in the blue sky. And mama always said, “Isn’t that thoughtful of Rome to greet us with the tricolor jets?” How did they know we were HERE?”
Boy, is she funny or what? Anyway, I really wanted to put in these photos so you could see the beauty of the amazing pilots’ work on that very important day.
Hey, mama didn’t even know I had “borrowed” her camera, haha.
Okay, back to my feathers…
Wow, those planes and colors are so cool!
Yes, it is really a cool move, every year on June 2.
Wow LouLou! You are a great photographer!
Well, I do try to get the whole picture and these guys flow slowly enough to photograph!
It sure is nice that they say hello to you and the family LouLou
Yes, we would love to think that, haha. So I think we’ll just keep thinking it.
Wow those photos are beautiful, Loulou. I love jets – when they fly overhead, you can feel the roar in your tummy.
Tes, we feel that, too!
Wow – think they were welcoming YOU this time, maybe, teehee? Well, the feathers and the toys are what keep us in shape! I tell Papa every day at about 4:30 that it’s time to play and he and mama make toys squeak and throw them and I chase and shake them. And I try your yoga positions, but my clunky bod doesn’t work too well in those graceful poses. You’re lucky to do both!!!
Well, mama has seen YOU shaky those toys and I wish I could do something like THAT. Must be great therapy for getting out those…er…feelings when you don’t get treats!
That is wonderful, LouLou ! Were you able to see any of the flyovers at the DDay ceremonies ? Red white and blue for the French and the US.
Oh, Mary, we will go on Google and watch all but we were not able to see the ceremony. Our dear friend went to France to see them, all the way from California. So incredibly beautiful, that very important day. And sad.
That was sweet of the country to greet them 🙂
Yes, deluded as THEY are, they still sort of believe those guys are up there for them, haha. Always a lovely sight.
That really is amazing and such a sight to see!
It is very very moving.
