Mama’s out there throwin’ beans but I’m still busy lounging…
Well, our garden guru came over last night to his property (they have moved to another little town nearby) where their Rhode Island Red chickies still reside and he said to mama, “Hey, if you have anything you want to get rid of, pasta, rice, whatever, just throw it over the fence to the chickens. They’ll love it.”
SO…there’s a nice light in his garden and mama just happened to have beans that were long in the tooth, whatever that is, and mama clicked her teeth and the chickies came running — pity I couldn’t get down there to help them find those beans in the greenery…
Hmmm…that little cutie in the middle looks nice and plump…hmmm…
“LOULOU, STOP THINKING THOSE BAAAD THOUGHTS, YOU HEAR?”
Just make sure your mama doesn’t throw you over the fence, Loulou.
Along with the corn, haha. Those chickies wouldn’t know what hit them. Literally!
Hmmm, roast chicken – no, stop it Loulou. 😉
Oh, I see it’s catching…no pun intended.
LOL – Loulou, you baaaad kitty!!! But you would have to clean it and grill it….. and they love their life running around the garden as much as we love ours! Well, almost, since they aren’t pampered like WE are! And they’re smart – mama read an article where last year there was a fox who entered a chicken yard and killed some chickens. This spring, you know what happened? He tried again and the chickens ganged up and killed the fox!!! True story. Mama read that in Nice-Matin.
I posted that story, but I was sort of sad for the fox. Not long….
MOL MOL!! I agree with you LouLou! Love, Cody
Maybe a little gravy to go with her…er…it.
That was nice of your mama to feed them.
They bazonkers over the beans.
Chickens have many uses Nice of your garden guru to give Mama a recycling outlet !!
Well, the eggs from these ladies are A++ and they are so cute. Sort of.
They would be fun…to watch!
It’s sort of a hen party, haha.
