Example: Those chickies yesterday were pretty august. I’ve been doing some research…
Well, here’s an august definition…er…definitions:
august: respected and impressive.”She was in august company”, distinguished, eminent, venerable, hallowed, illustrious, prestigious, renowned, celebrated, honored, acclaimed, esteemed, exalted, highly regarded, well thought of, of distinction, of repute…
Of course, in August, what I’m thinking is, WHY ARE THERE SO MANY TOURISTS HERE?
Well, for one, next week we celebrate the festival of St. Vincent for four action-packed days, and except for the fantastic feu d’artifice, fireworks, mama and papa keep a low profile, whatever that means (home with me and a margarita?). When the booms go off, I’m outta here…
But maybe they’ll take pics this time so I can see the action. It’s always spectacular.
And there will be dancing and music and strange processions and good smells in the air from the open-air cooking, and THAT, I can put up with…sausages on the grill, fish soup. Hmm, maybe I’ll venture out this year and kick up my paws in the streets!
Better start practicing…
Dancing, music and great food. Sounds like my kind of party, Loulou.
Hey, come on over and mingle with 100,000 visitors!
Well, Louiou, I’m with YOU! I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near fireworks with those loud BOOMS! And food at home? Nothing better. I would of course, be in my poussette since people tend to not see me in crowds and step on my toes! BUT we saw a “first” at the market last week – a cat in harness and leash, but in the arms of her person, wandering through Cours Saleya. The cat seemed very nonchalant. Bet she got energized when they passed by the fish stand!!!
Wow, I wish mama had put me in a harness when young. I would be out there with Mya checking out the market goodies!
Maybe your mama can bring you some treats so you can stay in. 🙂
Yes, some of that sausage, please! Mama says your books arrived and she’s very touched by you story and the drawings.
Wow LouLou, there sure are a lot of fireworks going on wherever you are !
Haha, you can bet your booties, whatever they are.
You best get your boogie going Loulou!
My boogie AND my boogie!
