The things I put up with…
Oh, boy, first it was the tourterelles and now I have to contend with – you’ll never guess – BABY BIRDS! CUTE BABY BIRDS. MORE THAN CUTE BABY BIRDS!
So are these cute or what? FEED ME, FEED ME they are crying but I’m not about to climb up there with worms they want me to dig up, no way, Jose!
HEY, BABY BIRD MAMA – Where are you?
Just so you won’t worry I can confirm that the mama shows up right on time…
And thank you, Aunty Lynne, for these adorable photos of your new rafter tenants!
But is mama ever going to leave those babies and come in here and snuggle ME?
sooo adorable! We have baby birds on our balcony a few times during the summer each year!
Don’t you just LOVE those little beaks wide open? So cute. I think…
Awww, they are very cute and way too fast for me. And too high, too. Heres hoping they visit regularly as good homes for them are fast disappearing.

Oh, how true, and they are all over our little village, darting and swooping and the mama is so attentive to them.
Birdies update:
Today, Sunday, it looks like the babies have already “flown the coop”, i mean rafters.
I’ll miss their cute little faces waiting for their next meal. Their parents must have been exhausted trying to keep them fed!!
Till next year….
Oh, but your photos were so perfect! Thank you.
Awwwww, they are TOOO cute. Tasty too, I’ll bet – oops – mama givin me that LOOK. But maybe not if they eat worms and bugs. Well, they grow up fast, so will be leaving the nest soon – and will maybe fly over into your yard to annoy the tourterelles – and amuse you! We’re going to Blue Beach tonight. I’ll give you the pigeon report……
Argggh. DO NOT EAT A PIGEON, MYA!!! And mama and papa will see you tomorrow—-YAY@😺
Those are some interesting ones!
They are baby swallows and must have learned to fly pretty young!
Awwww…they are cute.
Aren’t they? With their little beaks open. Amazing photo from Lynne.
Swallows ! No, I mean I think that’s what kind of birds they are.
I will check with Lynne tomorrow and find out what birdies they are but yes I believe they are our local little swalllows…they fly like swallows.
