(Maybe I’ll take cooking lessons…)
So there are these cork thingies all over our little town, on which notices are pinned that offer all kinds of activities and art expos and courses that a kitty could ever hope to find, except THIS kitty is perfectly happy snoozing in the sun (while it lasts) and flipping a few toys around every now and then.
(I think this is a salsa move…)
I mean, do I really NEED Brazilian salsa lessons, I ask you? Or how about Hatha Yoga or Feldencrais movements or chorale singing or Classes de gymnastique? How about ballet or meditation or garden tours or museum tours or tennis lessons…you get the picture (no pun intended)?
Of course, mama reads all of these autumn announcements and wishes she could do every one, and she tells me about her gym class starting up and all the nice young people in it (well, some are NOT spring chickens, if you get my drift, including you know who, haha) and she says “Loulou, there are just not enough hours in the day to DO all of these fascinating things” and I say, “Mama, get a life. Just do one or two and use the rest of your precious time for important, earth-shaking, life-changing things, as I DO!”
Like snoozing.
It’s an art, you know. Er…I think you know…aww, what the heck, art or no art, it’s the MEANING OF LIFE! Maybe mama should get bored with bulletins…
Maybe not give up tennis…
There’s not enough time in the day because she should be spending all of her time catering to your every whim, Loulou.
Ah, the voice of reason! Merci.
I think you would be a brilliant salsa dancer, Loulou! So flexible.
Well, I’m very flexible in sleep, haha. Maybe salsa, too.
Oh,why would WE take cooking lessons an exercise when that’s what our mamas do!! they give us food (that THEY cook, teehee – and croquettes) and throw our toys for us to chase. We have it really good – except in a little while I’ll be in the car ad snooze all the way back to Nice. Then – LUNCH!! Missing you, Loulou!
Me, too, along with the tomatoes AND all of us, wishing you were closer…wah.
I think you and your Mama are just precious! LouLou, maybe you could teach a class on napping and your Mama would see it posted on the bulletin board and she would sign up?
NOW THERE’S AN IDEA!! Always thinking, Cody.
Allotting some time for snoozing is not a bad idea for Mama.
Hey, she loves that idea, but mama is not really a snoozer at heart and wishes she could be more of one.
You sure are having some fun on a Monday!
Hey, snoozing is always fun.
