I wish there were something I could do to stop these fires…
Oh, that we could get them to leave! Mama’s and papa’s sister-in-law and her partner live in Sonoma, and lately they are constantly on the edge of having to move out to avoid fire or smoke from the the big fire raging near them.
And finding shelter is not at all easy – there are thousands who have had to evacuate along with many animals who are also seeking safety.
Last year a marvelous woman and her crew searched at night for homeless animals after the fires were over and were very successful at locating some of their families.
Ann Adamus posted this a few days ago on her blog and I am finally using it to alert our readers to send good thoughts to everyone afflicted by this terrible threat to part of northern California.
Yet again.
Those fires are really scary. We purr for all those affected by them.
Oh, it’s terrible. And a famous museum, the Getty, was threatened…Mama has lots of friends in LA and the fire is near their homes.
It’s always the animals that I feel most sorry for, Loulou. I hope your mama and papa’s sister-in-law and partner are managing to keep safe.
Me, too, and we hope they keep safe, too!
We are hoping they are safe and Mama thinks of them every time she opens the news nd sees photos of the fires. We want them to be safe, of course – and would love for them to move to this side of the pond!!!! Especially to Nice!!!! Try and convince them, Loulou!!!
We’ve said they can come here for safety, but it’s a bit far…
My prayers are with everyone in the path of this awful fire.
Merci, Ellen! All prayers are welcome.
