Okay, here goes: Mama and papa took mama’s ex’s cousin (92 years old) home at midnight (!) from the Christmas Eve celebration and mama waited in the car (double-parked…hey, it’s Rome) while papa accompanied our dear friend to her apartment. About 20 minutes later, papa called mama on her cell to say they could not get IN the apartment because the LOCK HAD BEEN JIMMIED!
Uh, oh.
Poor, sweet, elderly friend had been burgled, but fortunately, what they took was mostly costume jewelry, and the locksmith came, thanks to papa, along with two policemen, after midnight, and a lady who lives in the same building and often helps our sweet friend was there to spend the night and all day today until proper locks could be installed. Whew!
What a night! Poor papa (the hero, in my opinion) got home at 2am, as mama had gone ahead, and they both had very little sleep, which is why I feel that anthros really should consider becoming kitties...I slept through the whole episode! Sometimes the only solution (see above).
Well, anyway, I wasn’t invited to the bash, but that does NOT bother me. And heaven help any dumb bad anthro who tries to get in HERE! He’ll be singing soprano after I get through with him. Whatever that means.
SO…an eventful Christmas Eve, and mama and papa have not yet had their present-opening! I just hope that tuna/mouse sandwich I wrapped so carefully doesn’t spoil…I think the expiration date was midnight. By the way, you can order them from Exotic Eats by Bowlgari. Or was it Catier…?
Maybe I could learn to pour wine, haha. Soon, I think they’re going to need a glass!
Or two.
NO, I DID NOT TAKE A SIP!!!
We hope you all had a very merry Christmas!
Well, some of us…er…one of us is pretty glad it’s over.
oh my!! thank COD she wasn’t there when it happened! YAY for Papa saving the day! The main thing is that she is ok!
She is fine, for 92 years old. Glad she was not home, too.
Merry Christmas,xx Speedy
And to you, too, you darling rabbit!
LOL – NO LOULOU – you drank the whole bottle!!! Love the “look”!
Papa was indeed the hero o the evening – what an awful thing to happen to an elderly (but I’ll bet she’s young for her age!!) person – so elderly probably doesn’t even apply there, sorry! What a shock after a fun evening. Well, we had Christmas lunch here with neighbors – and it was fun. Marie-Claude always brings me goodies – and she didn’t forget!! Hope all is well there now!!
All is pretty well. The locksmith goes to the house on Sat to put in two big locks. All she needed was me there….
Thank goodness your Dad was there to help. Merry Christmas from all of us!!!
Yes, he was really so wonderful, mama said.
Oh, no. Not a fun adventure. Glad your friend wasn’t home so she wasn’t in any danger. Your mama and papa are sweet.
That’s what we were really glad about. But they wouldn’t have come in had they heard someone in the house.
That is awful your folks’ friend got burglarized.
But she loved costume jewelry so that’s all there was to take.
Oh LouLou ! We are sorry your friend got burgled, but glad Papa and everyone was there to help, and everyone got home safe and sound.
Yep, he was a hero, but he’s mine every day!
