Well, first it’s donkeys, and then doggies, and then even some KITTIES that mama stops to pet and coo over and scratch behind whatever ears are available, but CORMORANTS!
The bane of all fishermen, this amazing diver can plunge in to catch a fish and come up many yards/meters away in a very few seconds. So when mama saw this guy taking a bath on his rock, unmoving, she called out to him, “Hey, Mr. Cormorant, do you mind posing for me?”
(Is she out of her mind or what?)
BUT...this crazy bird actually complied!
You talkin’ to me? You want me in your kitty’s blog, whatever that is?
Okay, how’s this? I had a little ballet when I was young…
Hey, Swan Lake, here I come!
WHA’? Are you finished with the shoot? What about my other poses?
What a spoil sport! I was getting ready for the Bolshoi…
Maybe tomorrow I’ll get my partner to come do a pas de deux. That’ll teach her…
Mama, you are one weird mama, that’s all I have to say. That was truly for the birds…
AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR. SEUSS🎂💕
That bird was very acommodating.
He poses daily but it’s hard to know when…
Dr Seuss – one of my favourites, Loulou. That Cormorant was certainly putting on a show.
Well, I didn’t post about 6 more shots because mama said that people get bored…haha. She certainly got bored waiting for him to take off!!! He never did. Wet wings prohibit easy take off.
Wow – that bird is very elegant and knows it!! I don’t think we have them here – we have those huge seagulls that look like they maybe had dinosaur descendants. But they’re sorta clunky – and have been known to steal cellphones off tables and right out of peoples hands. Not sure what they do with them though…… abd people feed them on the beach. And they hang out at the fish markets. That sounds like a good place to hang, huh, Loulou?
CELL PHONES, whatever they are, haha. Could you engage a gull to nip one for me?
I wouldn’t want to mess with that bird!
I think cormorants keep distant from anthros but they steal the fisherman’s fish!!
Cormorants are amazing birds, but we still love kitties best,
Yes, well, just be sure to tell mama that!
