Papa soothes my nerves when I’m a bit concerned about things…
Well, mama’s and papa’s first venture to the market was fast and fruitful, haha. They were in and out (gloved) in 15 minutes and there were only three people shopping. It’s sad to think that in LA people are buying more than they need and packing into supermarkets to fill their pantries, but I know things are different in small towns.
Everyone here has behaved beautifully, although mama says it’s pretty strange to see our little village empty, with only one or two lone exercisers along the passerelle (the sea walk) or in the village.
And yet, my auntie Lynne sent mama a very positive email that I might put in here tomorrow after I have read the whole thing (mama said, Loulou, there are lots of links in this article, and here I thought she was talking about sausages…darn), so it’s nice to think of the Clorox glass half full instead of approaching empty.
Still…we do not know what’s to come and for me, living in the present and taking care of myself and mama and papa is what makes my day.
And you know what that means.
Your mama and papa are lucky to have you looking out for them, Loulou. We hope you all stay safe.
We are fine and you take care, too.
Stay safe!!! L.A. isn’t the only place where hoarding is taking place, it’s EVERYWHERE. That being said, my husband was at the market yesterday and he said their shelves were reasonably stocked (which was surprising), maybe it was just that he lucked out with the time that he went). Stay safe and healthy!!
Oh, tell him to wear gloves and stay AWAY from everyone!!!!
The US is behind in rules, just as Europe was until Italy changed everything. China has closed one of its corona hospitals…not needed. They appear to be out of the woods so far but they ISOLATED!!!! You have to to level the infection curve. Love from us.
Here, too, Loulou – people are only buying what they need. There’s still plenty of everything – and mama and papa go when the grocery opens – and they’re the only ones there except the people who work there (who now wear masks!). But they don’t go often – less now! – since Mama is making weird things with leftovers and the freezer is full. Yesterday was leftover shakshuka over pasta with chicken. That was pretty weird – but not bad. Especially the chicken! Well, Loulou, this too will pass and things will be back to normal. Fingers (oops, paws) crossed!
Yes,our mamas love to experiment with what is at paw! Sound good that shakshuka!
FUN!!! I went to my farmers’ market today – with my gloves and “thiees oil” on my scarf! There were a few more pepole, but it’s not super scary here – Yet!!!
I am prepared, and agree with Loulou’s philosopy – be here now!!!
love and aloha lalénya
Yes be in the present and see what kind of surprised as it can hold, as in chicken today! Yay!
People haven’t been overly polite here, they are still emptying the shelves if they get a change.
Well, that is sad! Maybe they will wise up when treated that way.
We wear gloves in the grocery store too. Most items are available except toilet paper, but we still have plenty.
Hey, any catalogues around?
We live out in the country, so except for shopping we can pretty well stay away from everything. We are glad the papers are still being delivered, since our human says it is too hard to do the crossword puzzles online.
Oh, mama does it online on an iPad, but, hey, you won’t lack supplies for the outhouse, haha.
