Well, Pompanette is a mule but what the heck.
Mama was standing carefully in the door to her atelier (with see-through mask on and talking at a distance with Aunty Lynne, who lives up the street) when a familiar sheep dog came over to her for a pat and mama knew at once what was to follow.
Where the sweet sheep doggy is, the four donks are. Plus Pompanette, who was bringing up the rear, so to speak.
It’s really cool when you can look out of your door and see four donks walking by, nicely trained and so sweet…they don’t even POOP until they get to their corral! Now that’s a sophisticated donk, if you ask me.
But no one did, as usual.
Mama ran to get scraps she saves for the donks but they were long gone by the time she got back…guess we’ll have to make a visit to their field nearby.
We, as in mama. For some reason, I’m not allowed to visit donks, but I’m okay with that, haha. I have other fish to fry (in my dreams)…wait a minute, maybe another phrase would work better…other zzzzs to snore?
OH sweet memories of the donks!!! And oh so fun to see my former house in the background!!! Love and Aloha to all the family! Don, Loulou and Aunty Lynne AND Lilly!!!!!
Be glad you are in Hawaii where the virus is not rampant, but we, too, have no cases yet….the tourists arrive now and who knows. Missing you.
LouLou – that is wonderful to see the equine parade. I’m sure your Mama will enjoy her visit to the Donks, while you enjoy your nap,
Well we have the division of labor pretty much split up properly.
