Rollin’ on warm stepping stones…one of life’s great pleasures!
Well, we have had weird and funny half-hearted rain for one day only and a cold morning that was NOT welcome around here! Mama loves summer and soft winds and balmy days (her mother-in-law called them barmy days, which was often more accurate, haha).
But oh the sun arrived again today, and the warmth was so sweet.
The only glitch in this morning’s loveliness is that mama saw her little tame dove out on the terrace and papa wanted o put out a cracker for him/her and suddenly it was HITCHCOCK TIME!
Holy tamale, we had never seen such a flock all at once. I wonder how they tell each other that there are free eats at our house? There must have been a dozen tourterelles flapping around.
So…we have decided, well, mama and papa have decided, that if two friends and their little Mya-doggy come all the way from Nice for a glass of wine and some guacamole and chips (distanced and masked when necessary, the anthros, not the chips), mama will NEVER AGAIN strew the leftover corn chips on the terrace, thinking to please her two little tourterelles!
NOT a good thing, mama, I could have told you that.
Bird-brained or not, these guys know a good restaurant when they see one, but I’m watching to make sure they taking their dive-bombing elsewhere!
I love Hitchcock’s birds…MOL💗Pawkisses for a Happy Tuesday🐾😽💞
Ooh, we do, too! Rear Window for one😺😺😺
We got a good laugh about (cue the eerie music) The Birds.
Loulou, the color is called Flood Tide at Lowe’s and is made by Valspar. Anytime you want to know about the remodel you can read Mom’s post at Alasandra’s Place she has all the details there. Although she does occasionally blab about it on our blog. And of course you can just ask us, we are happy to tell you.
Well, it was definitely shocking to see so many doves in one place..They must be hungry like the seagulls who have no restaurant garbage to eat nowadays.
Those birds just seem to multiply, don’t they, Loulou? Our swallows have finally flown the coop so we don’t have to worry about them anymore. Well, not until next summer. Glad you got some time in the sun.
Love the baby swallows. Especially when they are swallowing, haha and mama is feeding.
If there’s free food to be had, all the birds will be there, Loulou.
I think mama is going to put out less food and perhaps not so appealing…bread crumbs instead of 7-grain crackers, haha.
That’s the thing, they lull you into thinking there’s just the one of them, and then wham, you get a whole tribe, MOL
Good job, you’re on the case Loulou! I’d join you, if not for the hunting then to see the sun once more before winter hits!

Oh, how I would love your company!
Loulou, we just discovered internet where we aré, but it.s not easy…..but I Amin the country and running all around…..wish you were here! We totally enjoyed the visit and Thank You for the little row of cheery tomatoes- WOW!!!! Hope this horrible coved thing will be over soon so we can PLAY!!!!!!
Well, mama and papa send THANKS and mercis for the lovely grab bag of surprises that they will open TOMORROW and thank you properly. It was so so sweet to be together if only for a short while. And then it rained!
I had to laugh at Loulou as females would be Lulu wouldn’t they?
Well, when I was named it was not in French but yes, it would have been LULU but we love the other one. Well, I love the other one, haha. If you call me Lulu, I don’t understand, haha.
I think I answered this…we loved Loulou instead of LULU because I don’t have bangs, haha.
Uhoh…….word spreads quickly that there’s an “all you can eat buffet” at your house! One or two birds can be FUN but a whole BIRD HERD no!
Hugs, Teddy 🙂
For some reason today they have flown the coop!
Glad you got to roll in the sun.
Oh and I’ll do it again soon!
We gave up filling the birdfeeders once the weather got nice enough for there to be plenty of bugs to eat and the raccoons were emptying the feeders every night.
Oh, those little darling bandits!!! At mama’s and papa’s other house in LA, there was a hot pool at the end of a n exercise pool and the little critters washed their paws each night before attaching the graham crackers they LOVE. Then washed again….so cute, but VERY insistent with bird feed.
LOL Hitchcock time made me giggle. The birds can be so greedy!
They were FORMIDABLE, whatever that means, haha.
Yikes, ya never know when the hitchcock stuff will show up!
Well, for me, all of this is for the BIRDS!
We have just the opposite Loulou as we try and get them to visit and they just watch from afar. Wonder if it is due to there being 5 of us?
WOWSER, FIVE BIRD-GUARDS! No wonder they do not wish to hang out…still, they might come if you put crushed toasts somewhere HIGH.
