Can you find my little body lounging in the loaming, whatever that is?
Mama is such a sucker for alliteration when she helps me blog…
Well, after a BIG downpour, I managed to find a semi-dry spot near one of my favorite plants…our very large and prolific (whatever that is) sage plant, the tasty leaves of which mama toasts and uses to put on ricotta ravioli, along with browned butter (today?). Num num.
Does that mean a taste of ricotta cannot be far behind?
Mr Sage
I’m exhausted – I’ve made all these sage bundles for friends, so I’m off to nap.
Sniff, sniff…I think mama’s cookin’….
Forget the nap…I’m headed for the kitchen.
That is some really fine sage. Dad is still killing his plants with abandon but will learn by next year
You put those bundles together yourself, Loulou? We bet you supervised the bundle-making….
Well, of course, it was I who had the idea in the first place! Then, all that work…whew!
Oh sage is one of my Mom’s FAVE things. We don’t have any in our yard because apparently the deer like it too (!). We can see you in the photo (tee hee). I bet your Mama makes some WONDERFUL meals with the herbs in your garden. Nice of you to share them with her (tee hee again).
Love, Teddy
Well, mama does use a lot of rosemary, basil, lemon thyme, sage, parsley and cilantro, whatever they are…..
I’m hungry already, LouLou and I saw you there under the delicious sage😸Pawkisses for a wonderful week ahead🐾😽💞
Wish we could have shared our ravioli with everyone!
Well, Mamma is going to make the Pesto that your Mamma gave her the recipe for!! It was DELICIOUS. They say. I didn’t get any. They’re going to the open air market on Saturday – for cheery tomatoe – and fresh plums (before they go out of season) to make chicken with plums!! I did get some of that yesterday. Loulou, we hve it really GOOD!
OH, send Chicken with plums as we have chicken but no plums haha. Will have next Thursday.. and now mama is making English muffins…All because of Barbara Pym, haha.
I bet you would enjoy some ricotta.
We are searching for ricotta but only our BIG supermarket far away has it.
However, in Catalan country there is malo, a form of ricotta eaten with honey. Mama uses it for ravioli or she can make her own ricotta with whole milk and lemon juice.
Very wise LouLou ! (ha ha)
Well I should’ve held out for some Parmesan…
Better get there before all that lovely sage butter is gone Lou Lou!
I know, they are BAAAAAD. You are welcome.
I was there in time, num num!
Cooking sometimes smells so darn good, but the peeps never share! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
