Okay, here’s my costume…I’m dressing as a kitty, haha. Enough of this. Moving right along.
Well, not many boo…er…blue moons in a year but tonight’s full moon for Halloween is a blue one, the other being at the beginning of October, and actually, neither one is blue, haha.
In fact, Mr Moon is more pinky-yellow when he shows his face in early evening on our little street.
And then, later, he is very yellow but in a still pink sky. That’s our moulin/windmill/olive press up on a hillside of lovely trees where, in spring mama goes hunting for wild asparagus, trying to get there before the elderly couple who are skilled asparagus spotters and who clean out the tender shoots in record time!
And mama and papa came upon these two guys this morning, both dressed for Halloween as they basked in the sun before going fishing. They are our resident cormorants, with lovely beaks and a take-off like a 747.
Nice costume Loulou…and your moon was beautiful. Hope you had a wonderful halloween.
We had a really nice one. And I got teeth treats….
Those are lovely moon and cormorant pictures, LouLou. The pinkish sky is just natural, right – not caused by smoke from forest fires ?
We didn’t get to see the blue moon, or any moon at all Loulou. We had overcast and cloudy skies all night, just right for Halloween though.
