WHA’???
Well, you know when someone is delivering a package (more often lately, who knows why) or wants to park his delivery truck in our parking spot for a minute and so rings our VERY LOUD DOORBELL at the street, you know how that COULD possibly make a relaxed, sleeping kitty jump right out of her skin, You know how that is?
Wells, that’s how it is HERE.
I am snoozing, dreaming, minding my own business, half-in, half-out of enlightened mind consciousness, when EEEEERRRRRT! (That’s how the bell sounds to me, not like a bell at all but like a metal scraper scraping on a metal washboard, whatever that is).
EEEEERRRRRT! More insistant this time…
And the funny thing is, if mama is exercising right next to the door that leads to the street where delivery people ring, she can’t hear it! So where does it ring? IN MY PART OF THE HOUSE, that’s where, right near my sun puddle or padded suitcase snooze space or on the lovely also-sun-drenched guest bed. And I’m the only one whose fur goes electric and whose sensitive little ears ring and whose body flies inches off the bed into the air and then comes back down to make another attempt at a NAP.
Jeez.
But…on the other hand, those package people could be put to another use along with their selfless delivery, come rain or shine, of our necessities. Why not this, haha, from mama’s sisinlaw, the funiest one ever:
And maybe Amazon could also get the help of drones to deliver vaccines to underserved areas.
That’s a GREAT idea!!!
Dad keeps threatening to get a buzzer as we have a vestibule with a door. He is ok since the big sign “Knock Loudly.” We love that funny! MOL
Love the sign! So cool.
They don’t ring our bell when they deliver here – we find packages on our front porch, by our garage door – even on the BACK DECK! What I don’t like is the BEEP BEEP BEEP when one of the delivery trucks is backing down the driveway! We have a long driveway so there are a LOT of BEEEEEEEEEEPS!
Hugs, Teddy
I know those beeps, too. Like a giant birdie who cannot stop beep, beeping.
What a clever idea, Loulou. That will get the vaccines out quick stix.
We loved this. And it’s actually really a great idea, wherever it came from.
I wish our delivery people would ring the bell. I never know anything is out there until I get an email saying it was delivered.
PS- that is funny and would be true too. 🙂
Well, we’d have a choice of delivery people, that’s for sure.
Maybe your door is far away from the ringer, as is ours.
LouLou that little sign is wonderful !
My auntie Barbara sent it to us…so funny.
I know, that’s why our Dad disconnected our doorbell, now they can try to ring it all they want! Our cameras tell us when someone is at the door anyways!
CAMERAS??? Is he a director, haha?
