Forgive me, today I only wish to say that we send our condolences to Boulder, Colorado and to all of those affected by a horrendous deed. Which might not have happened had the USA had serious gun laws. All-too-frequent attacks on the public must be stopped, but not when everyone has a gun easily at hand and a warped brain to use it.
So sad. I’ll be back tomorrow, but will anything have changed?
MYou are so right, Loulou. Mom says, “The U.S. needs to be more responsible and enact stricter and common sense gun laws. Too many innocent lives are lost each year by those who have no business owning let alone using a firearm and firearms that are also too high powered.”
We feel exactly the same thing as you. But it is so long overdue.
We don’t know what it will take to get some control on all these guns.
A 1994 ban on assault weapons lasted only 10 years. Unbelievable.
We are really saddened by more gun violence in our great country Where will this all end
Our great country is looking pretty pathetic to a lot of the world, unfortunately, BUT now that good things are happening, the world is changing its view, thank heaven.
It’s so sad indeed. We agree, there should be serious gun laws!
Maybe, maybe anthros will wise up. Cross paws.
TOTALLY agree, Loulou!!! Too many crazies with guns!! Just read in the NYTimes a move is on!!! Hope it will go somewhere – now that Biden is president!!!
Oh, so do we! Way overdue.
So much more needed from the politicians than thoughts and prayers, Loulou. I’m hoping sane gun laws will be coming into effect, and sooner rather than later. Heartbreaking.
Yes, heartbreaking, for those who lose so much to a death by a madman. Definitely a glitch somewhere in our society….
That is so sad. I saw on the news that there are more guns in the US than people.
And 90% of Americans want gun reform! Not the NRA!
We join you in thinking as you do LouLou. And hope these two shootings in less than a week will drive some others to action.
I think even Republicans are horrified by thus one…
It’s very sad, and I have family living in that area too! Scary, and heartbreaking.
And thanks for commenting on my blog!
Love your blog…just too busy often to have fun reading lots of wonderful thoughts of other animals!
Yes, we have friends in that area and they are always on guard…what a way to have to live.
We totally agree with you Loulou….these things make us sick when they happen and it is because there is nothing in place to stop it. We believe the gun lobby is just so powerful it feels invincible but SO MANY are tired of the violence – hopefully something will FINALLY change. We have to keep the faith even though sometimes it’s very hard to do…………
Hugs, Teddy
Well, it’s 11 here and you must be up really early! Yes, we need laws. Someone has to crack the lobby.
