She fell just like this – on her left elbow, bammo!
Well, I’m talking about a real one, a fall, that is. Papa’s daughter fell yesterday at the end of a run in London, where she lives, and now has a steel rod in her arm! ARGGGGH.
What a day! Mostly scary, especially for her, but we are breathing a bit more easily now that she’s home from hospital and has good friends to help her over the next weeks.
Whew!!! Quite a scare. And the ambulance said it would arrive in TWO HOURS! $%@#!!
But a sweet young man saw the whole incident from his apartment window nearby and arranged for an Uber to take her to hospital and went WITH her to make sure all worked out.
Such goodness in the world, when so many headlines are so terrible. Thank you, young man, whoever you are. Mama’s stepdaughter doesn’t even know where he lives, but she’ll find him, I’m sure.
So, all’s well that begins flat on the ground!
GET WELL, Nic!
HEY, I think chocolate helps bones to mend, right? Yes, I’m sure it’s chocolate…
Yikes, that’s awful! Healing purrs to Nic from all of us.
I will pass it on, thank you.
oh my goodness that is awful about your Papa’s daughter!!!! praying she will be ok! That person who helped her was a Guardian Angel watching out for her! Warms my heart when someone cares like that…..what a wonderful person. Sending her wishes for a smooth recover and (((hugs))) and love to all of you!
She is fixed and at home and thank you for good thoughts! Yes, a very good young man. Hmm…wonder if he’s single, haha….
Oh no! I’m purring that your papa’s daughter has a speedy recovery! ~Ernie
Thank you, Ernie. She is at home in cast and has friends who are making food for her. Wish so much mama and her mama could be there. They are great friends and could be cook and bottle washer, but she lives in the UK. No travel now.
OUCH……that’s so scary and I bet that hurt SO bad! What a wonderful good samaritan the man who saw her fall was to help get her to the hospital quickly. Such an awful break in the bones it must have been. Hope she recovers quickly. As far as chocolate being a healing substance I am PAWSITIVE it is. Mom always feels a lot better after having chocolate in ANY form but especially when she has a box of something called GODIVA. Tee Hee
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, Godiva, mama’s mama LOVED Godiva. Now there is a company called ZChocolates – $$$$. And there are Belgian chocolates that are pretty wonderful. Papa loved See’s in LA but they have changed. A bit too sweet. And crazy mama LOVES 90% or even 99% dark chocolate! I get zilch.
Oh no! I hope she gets better soon, Loulou. Chocolate cures most things.
Well, she’ll get them on the morrow…..will report!
WOW! This is the week for falls!! But this sounds serious – and I wish her WELL!! Mamma had a book fall on her toes several days ago – and bandaged and getting better! Then she fell at Adrian’s on Saturday (didn’t see a step up) and is now wearing a brace on her arm! If its not better she will have it x-rayed today but a neighbor lent her a brace and it’s better. Must be the coronavirus making people a bit nutz and klutz!!!
OH, wow, mama is writing you TODAY! I am so sorry, maman of Mya, and yes, this abnormal world is trying and wears on the body! GET xrayed!
I will add her to my prayer list. XO
Oh, so kind of you, Ellen. Your list, I hope, is not too long…
Oh my CAT what a tumble and I know that would be scary and painful. I am so glad that she got to the hospital fast – TOW HOURS?!?!?!? That’s absolutely NUTS!
Well, she met a nice young mystery man and is searching her neighborhood for where he might live to thank him. He was so, so kind.
People are inherently good! We are happy that your family was taken care of so well when they are far away! Sending you and your family purrayers for fast healing!
Thank you so much and we feel the same about humanity. It’s just that so often in the headlines it doesn’t appear so…
I’m so sorry to hear yoor daughter fell. We also learned of another man who fell surfing at the beach and needed a rod in his leg. They said he won’t be back to normal for six months! Beautiful selfie, Loulou.
Oh thank you and yes it was rather traumatic as she is quite athletic but was distracted at the time and fell. How will we know that distracted feeling lately and thank you for your thoughts.
Sending purrs to Moms step-daughter
Thank you to me and I’m sure she would be happy with all of these nice things that people are saying.
Wow, what a story! That is so nice that someone took her to the hospital. Chocolate helps cure just about anything LouLou.
Well I’m with you on that one but of course I never get any around here unless it’s about as big as the head of a pin whatever that is
MOL!!! yesh chocolate will do tha trick
Oh, so glad you agree.
