Oh, no, not Mya’s maman, too!
Well, now we’re sending good thoughts to Mya’s mama who fell on her arm about the same time as mama’s stepdaughter. Maybe it was a falling-on-your-arm day everywhere!
Mama fell flat on her face once in Hawaii, 30 years ago, running, and a kind young man handed her a bag of ice from his Coca Cola stand and she had NO bruises! Then her shopping bag caught (30 years later) on a piece of stone jetting out from a wall of short steps and mama kept going while the shopping cart stayed behind. Flat on the face again….
Enough of this!!! Balance is everything. Mama says to stand on one leg for 30 seconds (near a wall or chair or sofa) EVERY DAY to improve balance. I think it’s a Pilates thing, but it works, because I stand on two paws every day to practice balance and haven’t fallen over…yet.
But then again, I fall over for other strange reasons, haha.
As in, right off the couch,..
I’m sending lots of healing purrs to Mya’s mom. ~Ernie
Oh, Ernie, I know they will help, merci!
Balance is important in life, on the stairs, EVERYWHERE for sure! Mom has fallen a couple of times but never on a hard surface (thankfully) – in the yard YES because she sometimes doesn’t look where she’s walking! Thankfully she’s never stepped on me or tripped over me even though I tend to follow her a LITTLE TOO CLOSELY sometimes!
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, we know about that tripping in the yard thing….and only over me once, but no one was hurt, just scared.
Wishing a speedy recovery to Mya’s mama! Balance in life is everything, Loulou.
Oh, boy is it eveer!
Yes – and I hope Nicole gets better FAST – Mamma is beter – but she landed on her wrist while trying to keep me from jumping (with joy) on people and didn’t see the step! The doc gave her a choice between plaster and a removable brace – but since it was a clean break and he said the brace would be good – she went for the brace. Could have been worse! But now Papa cleans and cooks – so not all bad, teehee!!!
Oh, my cod, we had no idea it was a big break, thought a fracture or something. Lordy, lordy, please get well, maman!!! And yes, a built-in housekeeper is a perk…
wait I’m confused, YOUR Mama or another Mama? Hoping whomever is ok!!
Another mama, the mama of Mya, the doggy, my friend in Nice. She’s better but it’s not a nice thing, ever.
Purrs to Mya’s Mom, dang! Poor Mom too, running is hazardous, that’s why I just stroll.
Well, doggies are pretty energetic at times, that’s a fact. We kitties just sort of loll…
Oh LouLou our human has fallen too…luckily today we had three inches of snow so it would have been a soft landing but luckily she didn’t fall- she has her walking stick with her.
OH, WOW, it’s Wobbly Week! So sorry to hear about past clunks but walking sticks are GOOD THINGS. Lots of walkers around here use them, young and old.
Loulou, you are a doll baby!
Yes, balance is important, especially for humans.
I recommend taking tai chi classes; one learns a lot about balance during that exercise.
Oh, mama loves tai chi and papa’s 100-year-old (soon) aunt did tai chi for years. Now she only works with a personal trainer, haha, but you should see her balance!
