ARE YOU GUYS GOING TO FEED ME?
Well, not exactly a party, but after SIXTEEN months of NO ONE in our domain, two very old friends came for a glass of vino, vaccinated, the friends, not the vino, and sat in the garden trying to figure out what life will be like after this long, long year of unknowns.
It was strange having anthros in the yard! I did come down and they oohed and ahed over me so I guess it was worth it. I just wanted dinner.
After all, THEY were eating little tuna salad crackers and there was NOTHING in my dish. That’s the problem with being social again….the dish goes ignored while all are yakking and going over the year’s weirdness and toasting to being together without hazmat suits.
Okay, okay, I was upstairs watching from the window. My bowl might have been full already…
But kvetching seemed appropriate for this new party world, haha.
Still, I heard mama and papa say, “Whoa, that was exhausting, no?”
Interesting how things feel after the long hiatus, whatever that is.
I just hope dinnertime keeps ITS place in this new social whirl!
And we did see a couple of anthros…Amazon delivery peeps, haha.
Hey, does Amazon do take-out?
Things feel the same here, ’cause Dad’s still working from home and he and Mom still wear masks when they go places even though they’ve been “vaccinated.” Other humans seldom come to the house. I’m hoping that Grandma and Grandpa decide to visit this fall.
Good that you are careful. Glad WE don’t have to wear them.
Things are slowly getting back to normal for the humans. The mom got to visit with some family last week…she said it was nice seeing them face to face.
YES, face to face is best or muzzle to muzzle…
You should have swiped some of that tuna. It is nice to be vaccinated. We were able to have a couple over to watch a dvd last Saturday. XO
Oh, that IS nice, Which DVD? Nice to feel normal.
Our peeps have been out and about and have visited some friends too. They said it seems a bit weird!
It WAS weird and mama and papa still do not go out to the open market with all the tourists around.
Well, it’s good that Papa and Mama are slipping back into normalcy slowly. But hopefully you won’t have to travel for awhile !
Well, that’s sort of a problem. They will travel in the fall to see grandkids and I am too stressed to travel so will have a sitter. Mama is NOT happy.
Loulou, it’s so very difficult to find servants who keep their eye on their feline overlord, despite anything else!
So sorry to hear that you felt ignored.
Well, they FINALLY gave me full attention and FOOD, but I have to admit, they do that pretty regularly anyway, haha. I think it was perceived ignoring…
My Mom and Dad have visited the neighbors already but only outside in the fresh air….drinking and snacking happens but do they bring anything home for THE CAT? NO! Mom and Dad don’t do a lot of entertaining anyway but they do feel like they CAN now if they want to…..I imagine since they are so old (!) they will tire out quickly having to entertain. I find entertaining quite easy – I just roll over on my back and voila – I’m very entertaining!
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, Teddy, you entertain us DAILY and your mama and papa are not OLD at all. With minds that lively there is no way they could be classified as OLD. And hey, guacamole stands in for anything, haha. It’s when they eat that Spanish ham that I drool but I can’t have the preservatives and mama doesn’t like them either. Maybe a steak, mama, for me, whaddya say?
The sixteen months of no one in our domain wasn’t really too different than how we like to live anyway, so even though the change is an improvement for most, it’s life as usual here. Silly photos, too! Happy weekend, Loulou!
Well, it’s nice to know that all was pretty normal for some.
