Well, sometimes, when I’m hanging out with the TV watchers of an evening, I just put my paws up and groove next to mama, waiting for the jaw scratch/massage.
Then, sometimes, I’ve put my paws up so long that I snooze a bit and almost fall off the couch on my head!
Then what would mama SCRATCH?
My day is full of these life problems. I need a vacation.
😻😻😻
A query: I’m too old for an anesthetic tooth clean and mama has order some toothpaste to help my gums. Is there any kitty whisperer out there who has advice for keeping my (only) teeth from getting gingivites or inflamed? I know mama will be able to brush my (few) teeth gently as I like my jaws massaged, so we’ll work it out. But any advice is welcome. Mama has read everything she can find, but a real anthro with real advice is best. And vets want to anesthetize a bit too often. I had a shot in Rome for my teeth and it lasted several months and the pink cleared up but I don’t know if they do that here. Mama will ask…
Merci for any advice!

We use Homeopathic remedies for everything, LouLou. Check out Kreosotum D6 it’s the first remedy you have to think of against gingivitis and other problems with the mouth. We wouldn’t go to the dentist either (only if there’s no other way) after the experience that we had with our Angel. Pawkisses for a Big smiling Day🐾😽💞
THANK YOU, MERCI, mama is holistic about me and so many other things. She will really appreciate this.
Loulou, are there any vet dentists around you? They are specialists when it comes to teeth issues and know what to do for older kitties. I had my teeth cleaned a couple of years ago when I was 14 but it was done by a vet dentist who was very good and quick so I wasn’t under anesthesia for too long. ~Ernie
Who is it is very nice and OK but she does suggest cleaning and there is only one anesthetic that should be used on older kitties. I’m so glad everything worked out for your teeth, Ernie. And your teeth are probably in much better shape than mine.
Loulou I hope your Mama will ask the vet about this for you – I’m sure she will do the safest thing for you – our teeth are important but putting us to sleep to clean them is kind of scary too. My vet checks my teeth every time I go in but so far, he says I haven’t needed a cleaning. Now that I’m off my dry food (which kept my teeth clean) we don’t know what will happen! I just know your Mama will be sure that you are OK!
Hugs, Teddy
p.s. please don’t fall of the couch onto your head….!
Oh, we have been to our vet and she says it’s not too bad yet but that she can clean them, but it is also not a safe operation for older kitties, so mama is going to become a dentist soon. Thank you for your caring thoughts. We’ll see but I shall certainly report on this…
No, but Mamma will ask the vet – she has to drop by and pick up a flea collar for me before we go to Italy next week!
OOH, I hope it is stylish…haha.
I wish I had some advice for you on your teeth. XO
Well, mama is going to brush them and treat them at home but thanks for thinking of us.
No dental advice, but I think it is great that Mama can do some careful brushing.
Yes, it’s a finger brush, whatever that is.
We like the little brushes that fit over the human finger tip, they work real well and the peep can tell where they are cleaning easier. Also, tuna flavored toothpaste helps too.
YEA I hope its tuna but I think it may be meaty.
Loulou, you have an impressive tummy; look at that fur pattern!
No advice to offer on teeth; we human have never gotten good at brushing the cats teeth, and Sweetie has had all but four teeth removed, The PO’M a few too.
Oh, I am so sorry for your teeth! But I have so few left and mama will try to preserve them.
Oh Loulou, I’m sorry I don’t have any dental advice, but your photos sure are a hoot!
Merci, I do so like to be paws up during my rests.
