MERCI, Nurse Loulou. I feel better already!
Well, I had to sit with papa on the bed today as he, it seems, got a little bug of some some sort that laid him low for 24 hours. Their first trip out in the world and THIS happens!
BUT…I was there to be the rescue nurse, leaning against his leg and keeping papa warm (at least on one leg…hey, you can’t have everything), and now he’s getting better and is starting to ask what time dinner might be before the big Italy soccer match tonight!
That definitely means he is getting well…
But, poor papa, I think bouillon and rice are the only things on the menu for him tonight.
He’s not ready for my Purina…and mama will eat in a dark room so papa can’t see her having pasta alla romana and a nice little glass of cold rosé.
Just kidding, mama will probably have rice and bouillon, too, haha.
So, mama, could I have your rosé? It has been a long nursing day…I’m zonked.
Excellent job of being supportive, Loulou!
You’d probably enjoy some of that bouillon too…
Well next time mama makes it she is leaving out the onion and maybe I can have some with only carrot and celery.
Good nursing work Loulou. Parents need a soft touch
Yes, I was very gentle and papa got well so FAST thanks to me.
Oh no, your poor Papa, we hope all is better soon.
Soon is here and he is, thank you. When papa loses his appetite he is miserable, and so is mama, but he’s back in form and had pasta and avocado and banana today. He’s fine but weak.
oh no poor Papa!! You know what? Mama and Papa were at the dentist and it had been a long time right? Once I got sick after a teeth cleaning (when it had been a hot minute since I was there), it could be that bacteria got in his system from the dental cleaning. Hoping he feels better soon and he is lucky to have Nurse LouLou!
Well, it was more like little fried squid, or even the gazpacho, which is sometimes made without washing the vegetables well. BUT…it is on the way out, to to speak, haha.
Seems like there’s bugs going around more now that people are out and about and not wearing masks anymore. I hope your papa feels better.
I think you are right and that’s what papa said, too. We protected ourselves so well and now all those dormant bugs are lying in wait.
It’s not easy taking care of sick humans is it….they get “whiney” and turn into little kids all over again. Oh well, we do that too sometimes just to get some attention right Loulou? Nice of you to keep your Dad’s leg warm while he recuperates. Hope he’s all better now (probably due to your excellent nursing skills).
Hugs, Teddy
Well, yes, I have to admit, I helped get a leg up on his troubles, haha.
You’re such a great nurse, Loulou. Glad that your papa is on the mend.
He is doing well and thank you for your sweet thoughts. We are having a lot of rice lately, haha.
Ooooh – cold rosé helps everything!!! But Mamma loves her Spritz! Hoping the bug passes quickly. We are good at knowing when we need to comfort – hope the bug goes away FAST!!!!!! A shame the first resturant in so long – but your Mamma’s cooking is the BEST!
Oh, merci. Mama likes to eat food at home lately until the restaurants get back on track. It’s just not clear how well everything is kept after this long hiatus.
I hope your Papa is better soon. You are a wonderful nurse. XO
THANK you, Ellen, and yes, he got better immediately. At least in one leg…
Thank goodness it doesn’t seem to be something worse !
Just a little food poisoning…and it is gradually going away and poor papa can go back to real food. I’ll get my kibbles ready.
