Tuckered, whatever that is…
Well, it may have been the stress of wondering where Sawyer had gone, but for some reason, we around here are just worn out…I mean really totally tuckered!
BUT, with the relief of having good news about his return and wanting to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my aunty Lynne and having our family find out today that we are accepted by France for TEN more years (no yearly renewal, thank heaven), we can muster many smiles, even lying down, haha.
Have a brilliant week-end everyone, and I am trying to find facts about the buck moon happening tonight when the moon will turn RED. Perhaps from all the fires….
HEY, MAMA, what time can I/we howl at the moon, haha…
It is such a relief right Loulou, whew! Where is that Moon? There! MEEEWWWWWW!
You put the wolves to shame.
I wanna see you howling at the moon, Loulou!
Maybe mama will take a pic!
YAY on ten more years of being in beautiful France! My Mom and Dad STILL talk about their visits to Paris many years ago. Such a beautiful country and what a wonderful time they had although being there on 9/11 was not exactly FUN. They have a river cruise in mind that would take them back for some more French countryside enjoyment though. I have approved their deserting me for that. The orange moon is a reminder that fires are so dangerous and destructive – and heart-breaking.
Hugs, Teddy
Yes, heartbreaking is the most poignant description. Mama’s sisinlaw lives in Sonoma and she is still safe but we worry about her always! And the smoke is felt all the way to New York!
WOW!!! Well, my peeps have French citizenship so they are cool – And I have mine – even have my French Passport! BUT so glad they don’t have to go every year – especially in the “Covid Times”!!! Which we heard on TV last night may last until 2023 – YIKES!!!!
Oh, no. Bad news, but such sweet people in the world with whom to zoom or skype or whatapp and keep hope alive!
Tuesday morning our huMom was up early t o go for a (routine) bloodtest and the sun was up but looked like a red ball. So it seems that even here in Ohio we are seeing some effects from the fires way to the west of us.
WOW, and I hope the blood test was good. We have those around here every now and again, too. I had one last year and was fine, but I still have arthritis and can’t go up stairs well…sigh….aging is not for sissies.
That’s some darn good news Loulou, now then, have a good weekend!
Yes, good news is needed nowadays!
Loulou, I’m with you…I’m just plain tuckered OUT!
Am so glad that Sawyer is home, and that you all get to stay for 10 more years.
Just finished a book that takes place in France, and I wish I’d have traveled to Paris with my niece in 2019, just before the Notre Dame fire took place.
We know the moon is orange due to the fires; can only hope that something can be done to minimize the effect the flames have on the environment.
Oh, please send the title of the book. Mama reads like a maniac and loves books about France. She’s happy to exchange titles if you wish.
Here is a list of books that I’ve read, that take place in France, mostly in Paris:
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, by V.E. Schwab
The Bones of Paris, by Laurie R. King
The Paris Key, by Juliet Blackwell
I am Madame X, by Giola Dilberto
The first two on the list were wonderful, the last two are good.
Oh, thank you so, so much, mama says. She will respond tomorrow with her French favorites.
