Well, finally we are getting ours!
We are being recognized as essential for the research that might lead to cures of various diseases.
And the scientists and doctors only take our blood for samples, no monkey business with us!
And don’t you just love that stretched out kitty, looking as if he/she were in a trance of pleasure. Someone has probably just given that kitty a great massage…
I wonder if they need me for observation about the science of kibble nibbling?
MAMA, I WANT TO WRITE THE NYT, okay?
I knew we’d have our day…
We hope that experiment helps kittens and humans. You never know what is waiting remember how penicillin was discovered by accident
Yes, and so many who are anti-vaccination HAD the smallpox vax and the polio vax and MORE!!!
I hope us kitties can be of some help!
I’m sure you will help in some way, always.
Kibble Nibbling should be a Cat-Olympics sport!!
Hugs, Teddy
I have written the committee to instate that sport!
Well, Sassy (our cat) lived to 23 and was healthy untl the end! I didn’t know her but I play with some of her toys. And sleep in Pepper’s bed! And Mamma read the article! Cats RULE and yes, Dogs Drool!!! But we’re all about love ) and food!
Glad you put that last one in there, Mya….I’m drooling!
The NYTimes does have a paywall. But we gather these cats are not being tortured besides the blood draw. So we are all for that. And some of the drugs being worked on for corona virus may have some uses to help kitties overcome Feline Infectious Peritonitis which has so often been a death sentence.
Oh boy a cure for that would be such a wonderful breakthrough for kitties.
And mama wouldn’t put a link to that article if they were being bad to the kitties and they made it very clear that they only draw blood.
Loulou, I was terrified when I first started to read, but the clue that you gave about blood should have calmed my fears.
No worries here; there will be cats in our lives forever!
Mama did the very same thing when she started reading the article but then saw that it was benign experimentation and could possibly help humans and kitties.
I think if you scroll down you might see the article. The part about subscription sometimes has a place to ignore it. I’ll look again and try to get the proper article. It’s very positive. And why aren’t they important in NY???
