Well, actually, I am NOT home alone but it rhymed. And I was “persuaded” to take previou trips with mama and papa because of my gullible nature.
I am SOOOO glad NOT BEING OUT THERE ON THE COLD WINTER MEDITERRANEAN SEA LOOKING OUT OF A PORTHOLE!! Which did happen in the distant past, once or twice.
No way, Jose.
Gone are the days.
THANK HEAVEN!! I am no longer a Galloping Gulliver.
I may just not renew my passport, haha.
Warm, by the fire, kibble in the dish, mama and papa scritching on me all day long.
Home is where the hearth is….
Snuggle down, everyone, and listen for reindeer bells…whatever they are.
(PS Out of politesse I won’t even mention what I was about to lose just after I looked out of that porthole…let’s just say I never really got my sea legs…).
I think it’s interesting that cats don’t have the neurological wiring that allows humans to be seasick. They *can’t* feel motion sickness the way we do.
So what *do* they feel? Why do some cats panic when any vehicle starts moving while they’re in it, and others seem to enjoy riding along with their humans? We’ll never know…
Oh, if only I could tell mama and papa that the minute we start moving, my tummy goes bonkers….HAH, they find out soon enough. And they don’t feed me before travel and it happens anyway. Then I seem to be fine. Sort of.
Loulou, I get seasick at the drop of a hat.
No sea voyages for me; I’d rather stand on the dock and LOOK at the water, rather than to be on it.
Oh, so good to have you understand. I am so glad mama is not a sea captain,
Happy you’re home where the hearth is…MOL…(good found!) Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend🐾😽💞
Well, to be in your garden, and with your wonderful granny and granpap is the BEST.
I agree, Loulou…home is the best and only place to be. ~Ernie
Oh, Ernie, you are my mole rodel for hearth living.
I don’t blame you!!! You get ll the attention – nd not so COLD!! I would not like a boat trip either. But car – I sleep with my toys. But not LNG trips – like Rome!!!
Stay at home play at home snooze at home sleepy time kitty!
I can’t don’t have a litter box and don’t know how to use the toilet!! Kittiesare lucky – we could leave Sassy for 3 days!!!
Well, I actually have been asking for two litter boxes…one for…you know…and one for…that other thing, I think I would be happy with my own private bathroom, haha.
Home is definitely where the hearth is, but I do so love to travel, Loulou. You made me think back to one of my favourite novels – ‘The Hobbit’ and how Tolkien describes Bilbo Baggins’ home and all the wonderful dishes he so enjoyed. I think I need a nice cup of tea. 😉
The best solution for any travel interruptions! A nice cuppa..
Not for me either…not sure how our pups would fare…
I am with the warm and cozy idea, ahhhh!
Oh, there were several doggies on that ship! But they had to stay in a kennel – I didn’t, thank heaven, but no more wandering for me.
I am glad you are all home together now. xO
Oh, me, too. Or rather, I, too, haha.
Oh LouLou, tthat picture of you in front of the porthole gave us a shiver. So glad you will be staying ashore ! (and your anthros too!)
Yes, it’s better to be anchored AT HOME.
I don’t think I’d like that porthole view very much either!
Woozy view, if you ask me. I proved it…
Uhoh……sounds like your boat trips were a little rocky! My Mom and Dad are in charge of waterborne trips in our family. Cruises on European waterways – and some sightseeing trips in Maine. I prefer all four feet on solid ground which is NOT floating in the water. HOWEVER, how lucky you were to at least experience it a few times – regardless of how it made your tummy feel!!
Hugs, Teddy
Well, I must admit to being a stay-at-home kind of Tuxie. But multiple waterways experienced sound interesting…
