You think I’m going out in that frigid air? I have sun right here in my CHAIR…er sofa…but it didn’t rhyme.
Well, we have wonderfully sunny days, but they are so incredibly COLD. I don’t really go out with pleasure because I think my arthritis acts up. I sound like mama’s grandma who used to have hers “act up”, too!
But oh, the sun is nice and the lemons are ripening beautifully. Pretty soon we’ll have to pick and store for the spring as they last about three or four months in the garage, and all the neighbors are happy, too. Way too many lemons for us and the tree loves to give its lemons away and have them visit other houses to see what’s going on.
But I can’t say they are lemons on the wall, haha. (Get it, a fly?)
Okay, that’s a stretch. But being so isolated all three of us wish we could visit our neighbors or have them in for a chat to see how they have fared over the last two years (!).
Better to talk of uplifting things, I almost wrote ‘thongs’, haha, probably thinking of summer! Let us meditate on limoncello…
on a HOT summer’s day. Okay, spring will do.
WOW! That lemontree is amasing, LouLou. We have three little branches out of a pit of a lemon, I think it takes a lifetime to have one so big as yours🍋Pawkisses for a sunny day🐾😽💞
Well, it was planted over 60 years ago so yes, nature needs a bit of time and I wish we could send you some. How nice to have a seed sprout!!!
It’s so cold but sunny here today. The sun feels good. I wish I had a lemon tree in my yard. Those lemons would be fun to bat around. ~Ernie
Wish I could ship a few to you Ernie. Tell me, do you play a lot or is sleeping more important. I’ve stopped doing a lot of play things….
Such luscious lemons, Loulou, and the sunshine on your face is always a great source of vitamin D. I hope you can all visit with friends soon.
Well, it’s going to be a long time since France is the worst for the virus now. Worst in the EU.
I’m sorry to hear that, Loulou. Living in a pandemic is definitely an exercise in resilience.
Yes, well, we are all turning into elastic, haha.
What lovely lemons! Our neighbors make limoncello in the summer and have Mom and Dad over for giggles and drinks and fun in their back yard. Ahhh…nice to think of this cold going away and nice warm days coming back.
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, I’m sure they will be lovely but oh, such a long way off…
WOW – those lemons are BEAUTIFU!!! We have oranges in fromt of the windows – but we hear they’re not good – but soooo pretty. we just look at them. Maybe I have arthritis? I LOVE to ride in my poussette – and we see cats in the poussettes. You want one? Cold here TOOO!!!! No wind but COOOLD!
I’m am sticking close to home right now, Mya. It is COLDER than a witches nose or maybe colder. I think you have more fur…
Lemons?? Yes please!
Good for so many things…cooking, drinking and even as a medicinal substance. Sometimes I use is for a non toxic cleaner as well.
Can you grow limes and oranges there too??
Oh, yes, Japanese limes and lots of oranges in my neighbor’s yard.
Both of our peeps like most things lemon Loulou!
Well, mama is a lemon freak and it adds balance to almost all dishes, a tiny bt of acid to complement the other flavors. Lemon curd is pretty adddicting, too.
Very nice lemons. Tell your mama to get you a heating pad to help those aches. XO
I told her and she’s looking for a kitty pad…merci! We had one but I wasn’t interested so we gave it to a shelter, but I think a little one would be nice, maybe for babies….
Just seeing sunlight and freah lemons is a nice change for us on a gray cold day !
Wish we could deliver! Especially limoncello!
We’ve watched a few chef TV shows, where Limoncello is made; seems yummy!
Here is the Midwest of America, we don’t have lemon trees, but maybe with global weather change, we might soon enough!
Wouldn’t mind a palm tree or two either.
Yes, palms are nice. Maybe someone will cross them with silver, haha. Wish I could send lemons.
