Any info welcome.
Well, a question today: does anyone know of a really good place to send money, clothes, food, help to the Ukrainian cause? I know there is Save The Children and Care, but where would one look in one’s own community? The mayor? The church? Closer to home where things can be taken.
Just asking because maybe we can spark up another life, from our own small communities, and know where the offerings went or will go.
I think we’re going to ask the Mairie here in our little ville. There are so many helpful organizations in France for those who have needs.
All information is welcome.
Just want today’s sparks to help put OUT the fires of this terrible unjust invasion. And thank you for suggestions.
So many wonderful organizations are helping out and giving US a chance to participate…..Vets Without Borders is a most worthy cause as are American Red Cross and UNICEF. Most of us can only give a little but a lot of “littles” means A LOT!
Hugs, Teddy and Pam
In fact, a lot of littles are VERY important and it is so impressive the help being sent to refugees. But the best help, of course, would be to STOP the maniac. And now he has imprisoned the biggest dissenter in Russia for up to 12 years! But nothing will stop THAT brave man.
Hey Loulou, one of my favourite organisations to donate to is ‘Gift of the Givers’. They do great work all over the world, especially in Africa, and are also helping out in the Ukraine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAG0zj8nSj8
I looked them up and yes, they are wonderful. Perhaps with our next installmemt… thank you for that name, so very important. They have huge trucks.
I don’t have a clue! But Eastside Cats has a good suggestion! We are staying at home (except for dog walks) and staying OFF the Promenade (we hear Ukranians are there!). ! Just in our neighborhood – and all our neighbors have been vaccinated!
Good idea and even vaccinated, one can CARRY the infection. And mama’stepdaughtr had covid TWICE. Vaccinated.
YIKES!!! Guess not so safe!!!
In fact.
We gave though the American Red Cross for Ukraine.
Wonderful. We shall look into that one too.
The Centre Culturel in Collioure is accepting donations 3 days a week. I’ll find out which days tomorrow and let you know!
THANK YOU, merci, dear friend!
You have some great suggestions. I can’t suggest anyone but look for sites and people who come up consistently in your searches. For animal help focus on animal sites. Very few people will have the resources to deal with both I am guessing.
I am donating to animal causes because if people feel their animals are safe or at least helped, then they feel a lot better themselves and that mental wellbeing means a lot.
That thought is so kind, mama got all teary.
We know the International Red Cross is there. Chef Jose Andres has his crew there feeding bunches of people. We his organization is World Central Kitchen.
Thank you, merci, for that good information. And World Central Kitchen is a great place to start helping people right now. Food for body and mind.

MERCI, MERCI. Mama is looking into them.
And merci again. Some refugees have taken their pets with them, thank heaven.
Our company has earmarked the following organizations:
-UNHCR – The UN Refugee Agency
-UNICEF
-The American Red Cross – Ukrainian Humanitarian Crisis
I would like to find a group that is supporting veterinarians who are at the borders of Poland and Romania who are vaccinating the pets of the refugees, so if you find one, let us know!
