I’m lifting a paw for PEACE.
Well, today for our spark we want to put in a link to positive stories coming out of Ukraine.
And this moved us to tears.
Ukraine is using facial recognition software to help identify the bodies of Russian soldiers killed in combat and track down their families to inform them of their deaths, Ukraine’s vice-prime minister told the Reuters news service. (The Guardian)
And papa read about an ex-marine, retired, who went to Ukraine to help fight and the marine said he had never, ever seen such courageous resitance in all of his marine experience.
So today, sparks of hope are being sent out from so many volunteers, food programs, weapons suppliers, clothing donators and generous money-givers!
The courage of the Ukrainian people, their steadfastness, their will to conquer and be free of the bonds of autocracy are so incredibly affecting.
FORZA, UKRAINE! VIVE UKRAINE! POWER TO UKRAINE!
This hateful attack by Putin is such an atrocity. The Ukrainians and those helping them are so courageous. We pray they will have peace soon. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet
Prayers are good, very good.
I purr for Ukraine…and all of its people…animals too. ~Ernie
Many Ukrainians took their animals with them, I’m happy to say.
Beautiful post. They are such a resilient people. God Bless them all. XO
Yes, all blessings needed so badly, and we hope you are doing okay with sweet Sammy. Love and hope from here for the darling.
Stories of hope and courage – love this. Thanks for sharing, Loulou.
Just a little bright spot in the day, you’re welcome.
We support Ukraine too! Lots of people/children are here in Nice to live and continue their schooling! And they are learning French! Putin is crazy – and maybe the Russians will figure that out!
Some are trying to get through to their fellow Russians, but the general belief system is SCREWED up by P.
May the valiant and courage of the Ukrainian people win out, and may those that are in this senseless situation against their will be vindicated when peace one day returns…may it be quickly.
Not sure I would like to be a conquerer when it’s over…the Ukrainians will NEVER FORGET.
They sure are amazing folks and we’re praying for each of them.
They really are the most corrageous people we have ever read about or known. A Ukrainian friend in Rome has turned her house over to those in Ukraine who are fleeing, as her little town is not near bombardments.
Fighting against such seemingly incredible odds is such a great story !
It is really very hard to grasp the magnitude of this attack, but yes, the story is unparalleled.
Courage.
Heart.
Strength.
We support Ukraine.
Oh, yes, all three and more. Such valiant people! Would that we could all have that strength in adverse times.
