Well, it was here a minute ago. I was homesick for our family in Italy and so I pulled out the item that cures my nostalgia but THEY HID IT, I’m sure!
Mama is always cleaning up things! Maybe she knows I’m missing everyone…
Now where is it?
I’m sure it’s somewhere around here.
Alors, when THEY hide things, they really hide them!
I’m about to give up, but wait! Behind THE PILLOWS? Now that’s cagey, I have to admit, but…
…hah. Found it! Now to reminisce a little and imagine the taste of fresh mozzarella and the street smells of espresso beans roasting and tomato sauce simmering and spring flower perfume at the flower vendors and the morning smell of window cleaners’ alcohol …sigh…one day…
I’ll always be content to just stay home.
ME, TOO.
I’m not much on traveling, Loulou. So I think I’ll stay home and read the book. If only I could read. ~Ernie
Oh, Ernie, just daydream. That works, too.
Oh my word, Loulou, now you’ve made me nostalgic for Italy. Such a beautiful country.
I agree and it’s mama and papa’s favorite place in all the world because they both discovered it at an early age, separately, and then met to love it together.
I’m with you Loulou….car travel – NO THANKS. I get squirmy, restless, LOUD and very unhappy when I’m in the car. Thankfully Mr. Vet is only ten minutes away but still. If Mom and Dad travel (and they will in October) I get to stay with the nice ladies at the Pet Hotel and they spoil me like Mom does. My Mom and Dad treasure their memories of Italy on their honeymoon 1,000 years ago (well…maybe a little less than 1,000).
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, it was probably only a few years ago, right? Well, just say that, haha, and get more treats, haha. A lovely place to honeymoon, that’s for sure. And if your mama and papa are going back to Italy, they should have mama’s notes.
Oops – Monkey POX!!!
Terrible. And to be taken seriously, at least in the US.
I guess you’re HAPPY to go to Italy – maybe it will be safe!!! We’re coming to Collioure mid-June! They called the show off because of monkey-ox!!!!
We are NOT going to Italy, no way. I said I was only nostalgic about Italy, not that I would EVER go in the car again. Mama and papa cancelled the wedding and the stay in Italy in June. NO WAY.
MONKEY OX…that’s funny.
Can we come along in your suitcase??
Right now I am listening to music by Monteverdi…now that is Italian for sure…but you cannot eat it, unfor-tuna-tely! Wait…TUNA???
Ha ha, you are too funny. And yes, my suitcase would be big enough for us both, IF we were going. bonne chance….
Glad you found the book. You are so adorable. XO
Well, I shed a few tears of that nostalgia…as mama does from time to time.
But LouLou – you’d have to ride in a car or a boat. That’s kind of how I feel about driving in the mountains to get anywhere. (or in Ohio during Orange Barrel Season.)
Have to look up Orange Barrel…sounds exiciting. But driving anywhere is out of my wish list. I throw up and have to hold my pee too long and other awful experiences. I am a homebody from now on, garden, kitty sitter, whatever. No travel in store right now…for anyone here.
Sounds delicous to us.
Yep, it really is. I eat well here and THERE.
Loulou, if it makes you happy and no one else is harmed, then it’s A-OK to reminisce!
It’s a type of time travel, no?
Well, reminiscing has never hurt anyone because it’s a private brain thingy and NO ONE can control my little pea brain, no way, no how. I love memories. Every moment of every day is a memory waiting to happen, right?
