…and let’s hope NOT for tribulations!
That’s papa up there getting me ready for the voyage to vet! Arggggh
Here’s the poop…er…story: Mama and papa took me to our vet last night to see why I was not eating property and why my Freestyle graphs for glucose were all over the map, up and down and sideways and so on, and a really nice vet who specializes in diabetic cats (!) was there because our other vet was not back in town from eating crab rolls on the Bretagne coast and the specialist lady said, I think we have to keep Loulou for a night or two (!) and do a glycemic curve with both insulins that you have used before and come up with the correct dose to achieve a nice smooth curve from the 100-300 range, and to make a very long sentence shorter, I am now at our Neovet, having tests but I DID eat last night because you have to before being jabbed but maybe the nice doc stirred up something really tasty and that’s why I ate and then she called this morning and said I had had a good night and that they were doing the curve all day today and would let mama and papa know at the end of the day just where we stood but of course I am lying down not standing at all except for…er…you know…and let’s hope they had a proper place for THAT, and that’s the end of my recent histoire.
Whew, I’ll bet you’re pouring a nice cold lemonade after this verbal ordeal! Maybe a little vodka stirred im…
Will report tomorrow on the ups and downs of things.
Thank’s for listening, haha.
I think they may be changing my brooch, too…it was kaput yesterday but worked pretty well for more than a week!
Sheesh, I wasn’t getting your posts in my emaiul…so I missedd this…
I sure hoe you are doing much better by now. Pawyers and POTP!
Working on that one,as it may be Feedpress who is goofing or an app that is not updated but the magic man is looking into it. So sorry. I am home.
We’re sorry to hear you’re having such problems with your diabetes. We cross our paws and hope you feel better soon ; we send you tons of healing purrs and good vibes. Purrs
Merci, Swiss kitties, and thank you for showing us the kitties in sculptures and art!
Gee! All that time at the Vet. For a good cause though. I purr they get your dose set so you can feel better and maybe have less trips to the Vet!!
Paws crossed!
Purrs, Julie
24 to 48 hours for a glycemic curve and said the same thing – two days? Now we know how much insulin I need. At home!
Oh Loulou! I’m sorry to hear you’re having problems with your diabetes and have to stay at the vet. I hope they can get it under control and you can come home. In the meantime, eat up! Purrs, Ernie
Well, I am home and the doc calls after she sees my graphs, whatever those are…The upped my jab a bit and it appears to be working well…thank you for for kindness, as always.
Sending you bucket loads of purrs and prayers, sweetie!
MERCI, Ms Melissa and Mudpie! SO nice to have support.
We are sending purrs, prayers and POTP your way sweet, funny and beautiful LouLou. Stay strong, we’re all pulling for you.
THANK YOU, merci, grazie for your wonderful words. I AM home and appear to be none the worse for wear, whatever that is. I do have a new broach so papa is “reading” me often…will report on all and thank you for what you do for us kitties.
We’re sending purrs and prayers to you. We hope they can get things figured out and come up with the right “cocktail” of meds for you.
Oh, we, too, hope for that. I am coming home this evening….we’ll see what the doc said.
I am glad you are dealing with a specialist. I know you don’t like staying at the vet, but hopefully you will feel better. You are in my prayers. XO
Oh, Ellen, merci, they are so nice to me and have done some things to get my curve more normal and I hope I come home tonight!! So do you know who!
Oh Loulou, I sure hope they figure it out soon, we feel really bad that you’re dealing with all of this sweet friend.
Oh, you are helping with your kind words, Mr B.
LouLou we are continuing our purrayers and Power of the Paw for you. What a blessing the specialist you needed happened to be there ! Maybe your regular vet will bring back a lobster roll to share.Shouldn’t your “brooch” last longer than that ?
It is supposed to be 14 and it was 11, but they are not reliable, as we have seen with two of them! Back to the drawing boards…
oh lou lou, yoo poor thing, being poke and prodded,i hope yoo r gitting tasty noms out of all dis and git to come home soon
Merci, Gidget and co. I might be home tonight! YAY. But my noms are limited, arggggh.
I hope everything will turn out fine, LouLou, and now I’m sure can have some vodka too knowing that you’re having health issues. Healing Pawkisses from heaven and prayers that you’re feeling better soon🙏🐾😽💞
Oh, it is so good to hear from you and I know how life must be hard right now for you, but I’m so glad you wrote. Merci.
We are purring for you, Loulou.
Your humans love you so, and rightfully so.
You know, they are suffering more than I, I am sure! They are so nice at my vet.
