1. A veteran I would like to thank today is __mama’s brother who was a Lt Col. army man, no longer with us.
Lt Col E Joe Shimek II and first born, Joe III.
2, I can’t go a day without __having someone, ANYONE, rub my tummy.
3. The litter box right now_ is my most frequented _place to…er….whatever.
4. This time of year, __my garden is __too cold for my tummy to lie in.
Well, those weren’t easy, and as for the litter box, I actually am having a bit of trouble with my direction and stop to pee at the, excuse the words, puppy pads.
Mama and papa don’t know quite how to re-train me but mama is trying to lift me up before I go and put me in my box so that I will remember that the box is my…uh…little bathroom. I do use it always for THAT OTHER THING, which is very proper of me, I think.
Well, I guess today is the end of another week of darker mornings and they are NOT getting lighter until around holiday time.
Mama is singing Novembver Song…autumn is not her favorite time as the light change makes her want to start fixing dinner at 3PM, haha.
But it is awfully pretty here with the Prussian blue sea and the last tomatoes ripening.
As for me, I am in my snooze mode right now, so that’s MY reaction to autumn.
“oh, it’s a long, long while, from May to December”…
I hope you start using the box more, Loulou. For some reason, humans don’t like us peeing on the floor. I wonder why? ~Ernie
Well, I have to give a thumbs up for Puppy Pads, which save mama and papa l lot of hassle, haha. Just wish I did not miss so often.
Great job with your fill-ins. Hard to retrain a kitty to use the box for pee. This is a problem we have with Astrid. Ugh! Fall is our mom’s favorite season, except she wishes there was more light. Have a great weekend. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh
Thanks for sharing your story of Astrid. It is this diabetes thingy that has changed my pee abilities.
Dear Loulou I think you did a grand job on your filling in. My Mom and I think that photo of your Mama’s brother and his son is really sweet. As for the pee issue – I think if you find it more comfortable to pee on those puppy pads then that’s “close enough” – but I have a feeling you do the very best you can no matter what. I know you’re super happy your Mama and Papa are home now so maybe in time when you’re SURE they’re going to stay a while you will go back to peeing in your box!
Hugs, Teddy
Well, Teddy, those are kind words, but I was peeing outside even when they were here before they left, and it’s because of diabetes. Today was a bit better. And mama is trying to catch me before I..you know…and put mex in the box to re-learn that I must use the box. And it’s a BIG box, too….so it’s not the size or high-sided. Thank you for your concern.
Maybe you need a very low entrance so you can more easily get into that litter box?? I did that for Pipo, and it helped…well, till his kitty dementia made him forget to use it at all…
I loved that image of your Veteran Uncle. Even war heroes have tender moments:)
So glad you like the photo of mama’s brother. He was a career army man until just after Viet Nam…
And I do THAT OTHER THING with no problem in my box…it’s only peeing that is the puzzlement.
Those were good answers Loulou, we always honor our heroes one and all.
Merci, Brian, and we are hoping all is well at your house.
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answer except I am sorry your mama’s brother is no longer here. I am thankful to him and all who serve. Maybe you need a lower litter box to make it easier to get into? XO
BUT…no pun intended…I get in FINE for that other thingy…Very neat and perfect, covered up and all. Go figure.
Tomatoes ! Still ! Wow !
Would it help if you had a lower litter box that would be easier to step into. That sometimes bothers older kitties if they are a bit achy But if you get in for # 2 ok that probably isn’t the problem.
That’s what we thought, Mary, it’s not the box (low sided box, by the way). It’s the urgency of diabetes that makes me sometimes not get into the box in time. When mama puts me in, when she catches me going toward my box, I pee nicely in the box and step out easily. A puzzle.
Loulou, veterinarians and scientists need to carefully study the balance of cats and their bladders.
A cat holds its emotions in their bladder, so I’ve been told.
This is why peeing inappropriately happens: either it is a physical sign of illness, or an emotional sign of distress.
We hope you start using the box for peeing again; your household was a bit disrupted for a while, and perhaps with your anthros home now, you’ll feel secure.
Just my opinion; not typed as anything but trying to be helpful.
Well, I agree, and probably with anthos, too, haha. Kidding aside, I am a diabetic cat with two jabs per day of 4 units of insulin each time, and diabetic kitties have trouble getting to the box exactly where they were used to going. I poop perfectly INSIDE the box and cover all. But for some reason, I pee just outside on puppy pads. Thank you for your help!
