We are bringing you a story today that might cause a few tears, as it did for mama, but GOOD ONES in the end.
Mama was deeply touched by this loving doggy/artist and his beautiful smiles and wiggles and TALENT, and by his rescuer who had the brilliant idea of giving him a vocation that would charm so many.
I am using this story for my Monday spark, but it was difficult to wait until today!
Do you think it would work for kitties up for adoption? Hey, why not.
Maybe use malt paste or yogurt and a thinner skrim of plastic for a kitty’s tiny tongue, but if you try it, please let us know what happens.
And for your Christmas or holiday cards, Zoolatry is ready for anything!

Oh my word tears, but thank goodness a happy ending. Thanks for sharing, Loulou.
Well, so sorry there were tears, but they dried swiftly for mama and that doggy is so incredibly sweet and smiley.
Oh yes Loulou – we read about Van Gogh on Facebook and what a wonderful happy story it was. So glad this talented artist has a home too. I love happy endings.
Hugs, Teddy
Wow, so glad his story got around. Such a cutie!
That sweet pup is totally adorable!
Isn’t he the cutest little artist you have ever met? That SMILE!
That is a sweet story. Quint from Colehaus cats used to paint and donate the money to charity. I have some of his work. XO
PLEASE SHOW IT ONE DAY. We would love to see Quint’s works.
We posted about Quints work here: https://www.island-cats.com/?p=39603
He’s very talented, but he’s not painting anymore. π
Thank you for the website. Love that.
That was such a creative way to find Van Gogh a home, we are so glad he has his own family now.
Yes, and a wonderful family at that! What a doggy!!!
What a great Spark !(and no paywall today…)
There are animal safe paints that a kitty could dip a paw in. Chimps, elephants and even a rhino do some artwork for their zoos and the artwork is sold for fund-raising.

LOVE that website (especially the possum) and yes, we have seen monkeys, elephants and more do some great things. But only if they WANT to, Loulou says. We’re thinking about saran wrap over paint and brushed with tuna juice, haha.
We abhor dog fighting, and have turned our back on any company that employs people who were involved with it, like the National Football League.
Being a fan of the artist Vincent van Gogh, I am delighted that this lovely doggo has found his forever, loving home now.
Oh, boy, are we, too. And yes, ANY of those places that misuse animals get the hex from us. May their gardens rot and their cars break down and, and….lots more.
Oh,MY! How cool and fun…and I am glad that Van Gogh was finally adopted. Love all round for all in that home!
‘Saran wrap’ might be a good thin lickable surface, maybe even too thin. Drops of tuna juice might entice the licking efforts.
Wonderful ideas, as always. You and the kitties are so creative!!! Tuna juice, we LOVE. Maybe I’ll make a little canvas or two….
