These are mama’s tea eggs, boiled in strong tea and then cracked all over and left to soak up the color of the tea. When peeled they look like marbe eggs and mama stuffs them with the yolk, walnut-flavored mustard, mayo, a pinch of curry powder, salt and pepper. Fun for bunny day.
And this is mama’s work for Saturday art in the manner of Morandi. Nowhere NEAR what that artist can do, but it was fun, too. And papa loves Morandi. Just don’t ask mama to copy a Caravaggio, haha.
I am recovering from having to appear with those ridiculous ears…back tomorrow…
What interesting eggs! Happy Easter to all of you!
They taste good, too.
Your mama’s Easter eggs are so enchanting- thanks for the secret directions on how to make them now I just need the ambition to do so. Also tell your artistic mama that her Morandi is really good in its own right! Happy Easter to you all!
AWW, Babsy, mama did that Morandiway for papa’s birthday long ago. She thought it would be a piece of cake and it took weeks, it seemed. That guy was GOOD for all his simplicity. WE MISS YOU TWO!!!!!
Those eggs are very pretty and you look cute in hiding Loulou!
Merci, Mr B, and they taste good, too.
The eggs look great. And your mama did a wonderful job on the art. XO
Oh, merci, Ms E, and the eggs actually taste really good, not much tea flavor, just normal boiled egg flavor.
We love all three images in today’s post LouLou ! Happy Easter !
Merci, Miss Mary, and we love your visits.
Wow, At first I thought that was a basket of marble eggs! That is an interesting way o color eggs.
You look cute peeking out from the comforter, LouLou.
I like your Mama’s rendition of the bottles.
Merci, doggies, and we love your soulful eyes….we want to snuggle you both when we see you.
happy easter lou lou!!
You, too, miss Gidget.
Sorta Frankensteiny eggs, no, Loulou?
Or dinosaur eggs.
However, I like that your mum was organic with her egg-dying; something that I appreciate.
Well, our eggs here are ALL brown…we can’t dye them anything but black, maybe, haha. AWFUL! So our method fits us to a tea, haha.
