“Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children. We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children.” ~ Crazy Horse
This is our spark for today.
Dreaming of a better world, as I “hold fast to dreams, for when dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.”
Langston Hughes
What a beautiful big wooden basket, Loulou! If Serena ever looked at the computer, she’d be envious…so maybe it’s good that she never does.
Oh, I wish I could send her one. You can just tell her that I’m a basket case, haha.
What a wonderful Spark! We need to take better care of our earth.
Oh, boy, yes we do!
Very wise and true SPARK Loulou…..we only have this one world and it’s up to us to take good care of it – right now I don’t think we’re doing a good job!!!
Hugs, Teddy
You are so right, Teddy. We really need to change our habits. Mama is going to have to save water in big containers for the communal garden as the wells are dry. Bucket in the shower to catch water before it warms up and so on…
I love those quotes, Loulou. I’ve just had some wonderful family time up in Johannesburg and they’re all big dreamers, so very apt. Thank you.
Oh, we would love to hear about their dreams. Mama and papa had dinner once in Johannesburg with papa’s daughter. Guess what? SUSHI.
That is a beautiful spark and a great photo of you. XO
OH, wow, mama thought I had put HER photo on my blog, haha. Merci, Ms E, sometimes the photographer gets lucky….
Such wise thoughts LouLou !
Well, we are concerned about our planet, more and more each day and now we have no water where we live and have to really be careful and ration our eau…maybe get a small bowl for outside so those birdbrains won’t STEP in it.
Loulou, it’s World Environment Day, focusing this year on eliminating plastic from our oceans.
I reuse glass kombucha bottles as my water bottle, and wash and refill, but there is much more that we can do.
Yes, glass is so much better and we are trying, trying to get plastic out of our live…not an easy chore but little by little….
